Hear Hear! What a nice post. I hadn't even been reminded about Leif/Leiv for a number of years. What Columbus did was astounding for his time. But as hurtful as it may be to our propaganda bred pride, let's give credit where credit is due. I certainly don't have any problem honoring both explorers. I say let it stand that Leif discovered America for his age and Columbus in turn for his own. We would all be living like sardines in Europe otherwise...

In New Hampshire they found Viking artifacts in Hampton on the coast.
One of the streets there is named "Viking Lane."
