Facebook
Google+
Yahoo (for my other mail....1 for me/my family/etc., 1 for my kink friends and 1 for.....ahem.....just being a slut)

And if you have two or more profiles on each.....well then....you're just fucked.

(And not in a pleasant sort of way).

Someone needs to come up with a new thingy that aggregates all the other thingies....into one thingy.....

I have to agree CM is a bit better than the rest and Facebook is just people telling you they're in the loo and other such nonsense.

I was under the impression that google+ was supposed to combine linkedin and facebook, etc. I could be wrong though

There is an easier way to deal with all this.

First, delete all those "vanilla" social network accounts. Send your old school friends a Christmas card once a year, say "howdy" to your neighbors when you see them, call your family once a month, and talk to your co-workers for a few minutes each work day. Really good friends are the ones you can sit down to have coffee with, get a hug from, or provide a shoulder for them to cry on. You'd be surprised at the ways you'll find to spend together offline.

Second, delete all your personal email accounts, then create a single new email account. Give the new address out sparingly and only to people who can deal with hearing from you just occasionally. Anyone who feels slighted if you aren't interested in what they are eating for dinner, is no real friend. Then, check that email only once a week, and reply to emails only when you feel like it.

Finally, with regard to the kink sites... pick the one you enjoy the most, and delete the rest.

Life is so much simpler when you don't have an entire online community to keep happy. It also gives you much more time to make yourself happy.

I have CM, 2 email addys. (One for business and one for fun.) and Yahell messenger because its easier to have a convo on there than bazillions of emails here.

I've finally gotten myself down to two emails - one that I give out to friends and associates, and one that I use for websites that require registration and inevitably end up sending spam.

Facebook and CollarMe. And I check CollarMe more than Facebook, by far.

That's it. :)

Hmmm...

I have an email for myself, an email for my business, and one email per character that I or my girls play. So right now I have about 30. I use Thunderbird to keep them all under control.

I am not on facebook, I don't tweet and I have never sent or received a text message. I do make an average of 2 calls per week on my cell phone though. I pay $100 in May and that lasts me the entire year.
