well, i dont go to bars anymore, not for a very long time and i dont drink, very rarely so never buying alcohol.. I used to go to the bars and clubs when i was 17 (18 was legal) and never asked, i personally didnt think me being there was a big thing anyway cuz i was a tetotaller by choice, never drank anything harder than tomato juice or oj.. I was there just to be with my friends.. [:)]

but there are certain things i have bought in the store and going thru the self serve scanner check outs, the machine stops and demands to see my ID! I am WTF, i just want to buy some caffeine pills! or if i buy a can of spray paint at home depot, same thing! grrrrrr Big brother here sucks.. [>:]

yeah they have that in PA. Haven't had it happen to me here in MD yet though. In PA if you buy allergy meds the machine beeps so that the counterperson has to ask for your ID.It's a pain in the ass when you have a ton of people in line behind you.

I would love to asked for ID again ... don't recall the last time.

About 6 months ago I was in my local grocery store and requested a home delivery ... the cashier then asked if I get the 'senior rate'.
I wanted to smack him but figured to someone that young I probably appear ancient.  So rather than take it as an insult I said yes to
the senior rate ... $3 in my pocket is a good thing.

when i first moved to CA, I was really shocked that i could not buy one of my allergy meds, they wanted ID and it had to be US ID which i didnt have yet. Now i still cant buy it cuz I cant remember what the name of the med was. [8|]

In BC, Canada, you never get asked for ID for any of that stuff, except alcohol and that isnt carried in grocery stores, you have to go to the liquor or wine store... and its not cheap like here either.

This is actually funny because my pet always forget his ID when we go anywhere. He often asks me to get his cigs when we go shopping because he lacks proof he is of age. He hates that they ask because he looks no where near his age. I had to point out to him they ask me too. I just don't get offended by it.
