LillyBoPeep -> RE: Getting carded (8/17/2011 3:06:15 PM)

I figure if it's still happening when i'm 40, I'll be pretty happy. =p Right now, though, it's just awkward. Here, they don't card everyone, at least not at the places I've been, but I always have my ID out to show people because I'm used to it by now. The U-Pull-It incident was just really annoying because he was flipping out about me being in there, and I was like "i'm 27, i'm probably older than you!" haha When I had first moved here, and didn't have my NE license yet, I got accused of a fake ID a lot, too. But you know where it is really awkward -- when I'm out with a guy. Someone at a restaurant pulled a friend of mine to the side once and said "she's not underage, is she?" That's really embarrassing, and pretty un-fun. I'm glad they check IDs; if I had a bar and there was someone in the grey area, i'd rather my door person err on the side of caution. It totally makes sense, but -- quote:
ORIGINAL: littlewonder when I go out with my best friend they think I'm her daughter which is just embarrassing since she gets upset then and the rest of the evening is just awkward with her. i totally understand that, and i don't like that kind of awkwardness either. other people get upset that they weren't carded, but i'm like "everything goes so much faster for you!"
