Okay I want to do something special for my girl her birthday is coming up and I was thinking of (now bear in mind I got this from watching a episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) sneaking into her bed room and leaving a drawing of her with a rose next to her bed for her to find when she wakes up. What do you think is it romantic and thoughtful or creepy stalker?

Sneaking anything is a bomb waiting to go off, like a violation of trust. Figure out something else.

It's impossible for us to say. Does she trust you enough that she gave you access to her place? So that when you say 'sneaking in' you don't actually mean home invasion?

Only you can answer that question, as only you know her, and how she'd react.

The gift itself isn't bad. Are you going to commission an actual artist to do it, or are you going to spend two hours shading her upper lip yourself? Perhaps mail it to her? She receives a package with a delightfully not-breaking and entering gift inside.

If you two are dating seriously and you are at her place often, you two live together, spend all your time together, etc...why would it be creepy stalker? I would find it very romantic and sweet and would make me smile...unless it was a picture of me being killed....then yeah I might find it beyond creepy lol

Now if you're still getting to know her and you don't have a key to her place and you break in to leave it then I'd find that creepy stalker and wouldn't be dating you any longer.

well, judging from some of the posts I have read, a great deal of women have a handgun on their nightstand and would probably shoot your dumb ass.

Please post a pic of the drawing, that will be the deciding factor of whether it is asinine or admirable.

the question is whether or not she'd freak out to find you in her room at night unexpectedly.

If she'd scream it's creepy. If she'd say 'hello babe, didn't realise you were coming over' it's not creepy.

Kirata and romance on the same thread?
Swoooooon.

I would feel a little creeped out if my hypothetical boyfriend snuck into my room
while I was sleeping, especially if he had previously never been invited there.
Why not cook her dinner at your place instead, and then invite her into your bedroom.
Have the rose and the portrait of her waiting there for her.

I know I would. Then I would be pissed that I had to spend my birthday burying some dumb ass in the woods.

that sounds loverly, poise. ^_^

SAMHAIN, if you've never been invited into your gf's room in this manner, then don't do it.
take poise's suggestion.
if sneaking into her room at night is a common occurrence and she doesn't care, then eh, you might as well. but if you do it often, maybe try something new? =p

Do you have the key and did she give you the key? If not, I'd freak out and that would be it, I'd feel like my private space was invaded.

In my case, it would just get him pepper spayed. Although, that's not very romantic either.

This is what happens when someone gets dating ideas from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
