Okay, okay. I stumbled. When Miller Lite came out, that did NOT mean MeisterBrau was no longer labeled. The point is: In 1972, the "diet beer" formula, (renamed MeisterBrau) was ALSO sold as Miller Lite. All those that do not like Miller Lite would not like Meister Brau 'cause it's the SAME beer being sold under different labelsfor some period of time staring in 1972/3.... When did Miller stop using the MeisterBrau label? Not sure..... but the overlap was something like 10 or 15 years (according to expert testimony, Your Honor.)

everything manufactured by a brewery that is advertised nationally is 100% shit. Sam Adams being the lone exception.

You better not be dissin' the Sam Adams, those are some of the good beers. Worst I've tasted has been any porter beer. They've all been really bitter.....I thought it was me, but tried one more when my (adult) son was visiting, and we both took one sip and poured them down the drain. I'm not particularly fond of Corona, either, though it seems to be pretty popular. I think it's kind of harsh and bitter, even with the lime.

Sam Adams (and also, surprisingly, Bud) have really tasty Halloween beers, spiced with pumpkin.. yeah, I know.. pumpkin flavored beer? but they both were delicious. now, had coors, or miller, or any of the other normally shit beers done it.. I am almost 100% sure that it would have been ABSOLUTE BILE!!!

Shocker. I agree with Domi! He's right though. By the way the new one this summer from Sam is their Latitude IPA and it rocks. Good stuff, we sell tons at the bar.

~FR~ PBR sucks. It's hilarious that all the hipsters are guzzling it by the tons like it's some great shit. We go out to lots of live music here in LR and you can't swing a stick without hitting a youngin' holding one. Sad really. We used to drink it because it was cheap and we didn't know any better. Now they actually think it's cool. Kinda like smoking. Didn't our ignorance teach these young folk ANYthing?[:D] luci

I had what I beleive to have been a wheat beer called Duff modeled on the stuff from The Simpsons when I was in Amsterdam that I consider the worst beer experience of my life. It had a chemical taste to it that I couldn't place and overpowering citrus notes. Just really terrible stuff.

Years ago we ended up with a 24 of Dow, we couldn't give the stuff away. We took it to every party and left it out for anybody to help themselves...no takers. [:D] But! That isn't the worst beer I ever came across. In China, beer is very popular, but they had only one national brand (Tsingtao), and that wasn't widely available. Every town and city brewed its own beer. Every town's beer is different. It was in Xian that I encountered the single most revolting swill ever to be passed off as beer. It wasn't "undrinkable" meaning very unpleasant, it was literally gag-inducingly undrinkable. I nearly vomited when I took my first sip. It had a horrible petroleumish chemical taste to it. Sadly, we went to bed sober that night. Another China-based beer disaster. In Turfan, we stopped at a hotel for lunch, and I ordered a quart of beer to drink. Now, Turfan, is in the desert, and we'd been out and about in the sun all morning, so I was parched. They bring the bottle, and crack off the top. It was so tempting, it even had that little whisp of CO2 you can sometimes see rising out of the bottle. If my mouth hadn't been so dry, I would have been drooling. The waiter poured it into my glass, I reached for the glass and yanked my hand back. It was HOT!! That wasn't CO2 whisping out of the bottle, it was steam. They stored their beer outside in the desert sun!! I was so disappointed I nearly cried.
