It reflects the new global wealth phenomena, that those with wealth seek greater returns overseas. Thus the transfer of money to the rich -- who don't spend their money (so they don't drive demand) and who seek greater returns on their capital --- are neither job creators or economic engines for the USA.

What I see are Republicans hyping policies that have failed (some catastrophically); to me they display willful ignorance and early stage alzheimer's and/or political cynicism overlaid by empty slogans.

Robert Reich points out that its hard to regulate or tax your biggest backers (the Rich and Corporations) --- so politicians taking money from these groups are quite beholden. Once they take BIG MONEY, their job is to make the money-funnel up look populist to everyone below. One of his prescribed solutions was to mandate that all political contributions be anonymous -- so that politicians would not feel so beholden to special, well financed interests.

------

As for the El Salvadorean angle --- maybe its their way of addressing illegal immigration by funding jobs abroad.

And poor little Hippie Kinkster will have to flush all that beer snob Eurotrash swill and start drinking Bud.

I'll have you know, Bubba, that excepting the occasional bottle of Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weisse from Munich, and the even more rare bottle of Belgian, I drink US beer exclusively, and quite often it is GAs own Terrapin or Sweetwater.

I'll leave the BMC (Bud/Miller/Coors) beer-flavored rice water to those who have more highly refined palates, such as yourself.
