Thanks RF and duh, yeah Chrome. My Alzheimers must have kicked in.

I'm fine with FF. For awhile I had issues with it freezing but one if the updates fixed that.

The Mister uses IE on his computer and I don't like it, but like Lily, I'm not sure where the "my browser is better than your browser" comes from out there in computerland.

I've been resistant to all the Google-ness out there, for the simple reason that once I'm comfortable with a given technology, it takes me awhile to let go and catch up with newer stuff. I like technical familiarity.

I still use nutscrape(FF) alto I really hate it right now , its a memory hog for one thing, Chrome is better once all the goodies have been loaded in, like one of the other posters I have bookmarks going back to 1998 altho they are backed up nice n safe., I only use FF and chrome , and when I have to for work specs on the coding side I use IE to check the layout. otherwise exploder can go bugger pussycats, nothing to do with IQ I just dont like it

u don't need a study on this. it's obvious. i always thought ppl who use the default IE browser are never sophisticated computer users and thus have lower IQ.

Jenny, you ever hear of a DOS shell ? Well windows is a DOS shell. That is fact no matter what anyone says. And any browser you use in Windows is an IE shell. Period.

At the C:\> (C prompt) I could type in :

WINDOWS or
XTGOLD or
whatever I wanted to run. A shortcut just does the typoing for you. Same with the internet links : A HREF thisthat.com / A

You are running within a program within a program within a program within a program.............................

No browser can be faster than your internet connection. On frequently visited sites one browser might prioritize certain aspects of the display and utilize it's internet cache better, but it is not faster.

Like those whitetrashmobiles they used to have with the castrated engines in them, they rode low and had the backs of their seats designed to make it feel like you were accelerating fast. You weren't. If you want to accelerate fast you need alot of torque, moreso than horsepower.

Same way with this shit, it only "feels" faster.
