When I look at him I think of my 71 year old father. To make matters even worse, my father is a tobacco using alcoholic. Yet they look like they could be twin brothers. The only difference is that Charlie is more clean shaven.

Amazing. I had to look up how old he is. He's 6 months older than my son. Which is not a fair comparison because due to his addictions & his arthritis pain, my son actually looks much older than Charlie. Thank God my son is in recovery now. When I worked in the healthcare field, we noticed that if addicts got clean & sober before 30, it didn't seem to affect their looks, but if they kept up the addictions past 30, it really aged them. I'm so glad that I quit 22 days before my 30th birthday. That's why I look so young & vibrant today. BWAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! (sorry, sometimes I just crack myself up.)

I've noticed that some people, especially more fair, if they smoke......it ages them a great deal. Regardless of other addictions. Smoking and the sun seems to be the cause of most of what I see aside from drugs and booze.

This is also true. And a lot of people would use that argument to try to convince me to stop smoking. And then I would tell them how old I was & they would be shocked because they always guessed 10-15 years younger. I did stop, but not for that reason.

Wow, if he's 46 he's the same age as I am. I am still told I look much younger, but you can never tell if people are just being kind! Still, never smoked or used drugs and I seldom drink. Maybe there's something to this clean living stuff :)

He does look surprisingly old, even worse than Axl Rose which is saying something. I was surprised to find he was only born in 1965 as it seems he's been around a very long time, making it big by the time of Platoon back in the mid 1980's.
