I don't generally follow the media hoopla about movie or TV stars. But does he look quite that aged in other pictures? I ask because it's always possible to take a few pictures (depending on lighting, angles, post-processing) that make the subject look either better or worse than he/she does in real life. And most celebrity-related media generally have no qualms about running pictures that might generate hype/controversy/discussion.

Yay for Photoshop and quick fix cosmetic procedures. If you really want to see how bad he was looking, search on youtube for a few of the short video clips he put out a few months ago. I think he has probably has some work done, in the recent lull in Charlie crazy, to be able to continue employment. Orrrrr, he just found some better drugs!

I don't think Charlie is ugly now. Older isn't ugly, it is just older. That's how I see it anyway, but I've always been attracted to older guys. He's still not a bad looking man, even if he does look rode hard.

I do not think he is crazy. I think he is eccentric (which is what we call happily nutzo people who are self supporting... nay, overwhelmingly successful ).

I would venture to say on a good day he is a helluva good time, the life of the party. Probably a decent enough friend also. Just not anyone I would want to rely on or live with. Unfortunately, I don't find him attractive at all. Not the young Charlie or the old, rode hard, Charlie.

I mean there's "high functioning" and then there's high functioning. For a drunken druggie porn-star-fucking hooker-booking "failure" that's not doing badly. You thought he was in his 70's with black hair like that? I don't know, to me he looks like a guy in his late 40's going grey and getting wrinkles. I find it hard to differentiate between old people.

Oh come on. I've seen lots of 46 year olds. Some look a little younger some look a little older. He looks his age! I couldnt believe people wrote he looks 60's 70's. On the other hand, hey! If that's the case, We'll look damn good for 60 through 70's if we look like that! So good! I look forward to looking great at 70!

Personally I think he looks way older than 46. I wouldn't go as far as to say he looks in his 70's but looks at least a decade older IMHO. He still has his hair but he has that dried out leathery old man look which contrasts hugely with the Sheen of even a few years back who still seemed quite youthful. That was what struck me when I saw his pic in the OP.

True but we're talking Hollywood looks here with plenty of cosmetic surgery, one of the reasons why I really like guys like Clooney and Brad Pit (I believe they are in the same age range as Sheen but don't seem to have had surgery), they do look a good deal healthier and better plus they do have distinctive faces. Sheen might be nuts, but he's not exactly ugly, look at Jack Nicholson, never one for good clean living, not conventionally attractive but the guy just oozed sex appeal. You know I think the whole Formula One stuff has become a bit boring, thank heavens for guys like Button, aren't rockstars, movie stars and racing drivers supposed to be slightly bad boys? I recently read a biography about James Hunt, he did live it up some, no way that a team would take him on now, the sponsors would possibly think him too much of a liability, but if you compare him to Mr. Clean and Boring Schuhmacher, what a freaking difference. For a while there was a Finish driver Kimi something, who was an "old style" guy like Hunt, he quit F1, shame really, it was entertainment and it is the entertainment industry not freaking Boy Scout meeting. People might bitch how Keiff looks, but his looks were never what earned him millions, it was his genius guitar playing and he was awesome in Pirates of the Caribbean, played Johnny Depp against the wall, which is not a small feat, and if you take old Keiff and compare him to Joan Rivers, I bet Keiff had a lot more fun and while he might look old, he also looks "real" and not like a product of cosmetic surgery. Seriously prefer that to all the surgically overstretched, sanctimonious actors and musicians who preach good clean living, they don't look real to me, they look like they're out of a Japanese cartoon, too cute and too clean.
