So while at work on Monday, I might have had a seizure. In between passing out lunch trays and picking them up, I experienced a severe wave of disorientation very similar to deja vu. After collecting the lunch trays, my stomach became rather suddenly upset. I sat down, and became very flushed in the face and ears. For the next half hour I had a conversation with another officer that I have absolutely no recollection of. He finally convinced me to visit medical, and all they could find was high blood pressure. Although the disorientation and upset stomach led them to believe it was some kind of seizure. I have yet to see a doctor about it, and I was curious if anyone here has any experience or knowledge on seizures and can give me some info. Much appreciated.

I dunno about seizures, but I have experienced similar 'symptoms'.. usually when I havent been sleeping well, or havent been eating right

See a doc ASAP and have a brain scan if it was a blood clot that caused it, it's urgent that they check it as soon as possible before it dissolves, as the problem can occur again. If you don't mind me asking, you seem fairly fit, so high BP should not be an issue at all, due to sports my BP is quite low, you're not on roids or anything like that?

no expert. although this doesnt sound too close what I might consider a siezure. Do you know if your conversation was coherant, and still perhaps "in character" if I can say such a thing? This seems to be to be something closer related to a sugar-crash. However, get to the doctors, you are concerned enough to mention it here, and whatever it is it would certainly be worth investigating further. pD

Haha, no I don't mind, I'm used to it. No, don't take roids, prescribed or otherwise. Nor do I take any test boosters. I remember before having my knee surgery in February the nurse said I had good blood pressure, so I'm going to guess that high blood pressure isn't the norm for me.

Anything changed? Sleeping or eating habits, more stress? I tend to get fainty when I haven't eaten well (which I sometimes forget when I'm under stress) or if the weather has drastic changes, it's just that the blood clot thing recently came up with a friend, but I have notoriously low BP (due to a heart that is larger than normal but that is due to extensive sportive activity as a child and a teen - swimming and skiing on competitive levels, boobs got into the way with swimming though), might be a good idea to get checked out, at least then you know it's not serious.

So many things could cause it, even something like reduced blood flow from the jaw. Soz, i'd need a little more to do a House M.D. mate.

The deja vu feleing along with the sudden upset stomach/ disorientation is symptomatic of some types of seizures and the hypertention is actually not uncommon for the period immediately following a seizure in some people. Follow up with your doctor. edit spelling

It sounds more like a stroke then a seizure. Like maybe a blood clot passed. Was their pain in your arm or one side of the body dude?

Your doctor is the best person who can point you in the right direction...to rule out that or other possibilities. Btw: some medications make one more prone to seizures in some people. Wellbutrin (aka buproprion) is well documented in regards to this.

I don't think that a BDSM website is a very good place to ask people about medical problems. If the people there said go see a Dr, it could be seizure activity, then go see a Dr. My Uncle had epilepsy but his seizures were by no means the only way a person can experience a seizure. Get it checked out ASAP & let the medical people sort it out.

Im going to tell you that there isnt a person here who can diagnose you. They can guess, wonder, ask questions.. ect ect ect. Now, I AM going to also tell you that it could have been a stroke... it could have been a seizure... it could have been an aneurysm. My suggestion... and its a strong one... is to see your Doctor as soon as possible.

Once..when I was at work many years ago...late 80's...I had this weird experience of the whole room tipping and then it went away...I was scared by it but it never happened again but it was rather hot that day.....but what you described to me sounds like a bit if a panic attack....I have had a couple since then but not in a long time..but it could be a seizure as a woman I used to work with had epilepsy but not the violent time but she would just sit at a desk in a stupor then come out of it......so not sure what you had but best to get it checked out as Lady Constanze advised...

I doubt it was a panic attack. Maybe he somehow ingested a psycho-active drug. The plant from Brazil maybe.

Seizures suck and I have had more than my fair share of them. What you describe is may or may not be one, but is is something that needs to be discussed with a doctor. You can't function well enough to carry on a conversation during a seizure. Immediately after one, I can carry on a conversation but it is quite obvious that something is not right and I struggle to hold a train of thought. Short term memory loss happens to me when I have a really bad seizure. In general, I remember most of what happened. It's extremely rare for me to loose a big chunk of memory (1 or 2 hours) but it has happened to me. In short, get thyself to the doctor.

Definitely get a brain scan. ASAP. This sounds similar to the symptoms experienced by a friend of the poster posted on another forum I read, and the person experiencing those symptoms wound up going in for emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm. Seriously, get thee to a doctor.

And if you do want a medical opinion... Here it is.... The diagnostic testing is not available online at this time... now please see your Personal Physician for a second opinion. LOL I would call ahead and set up a physical in the event they request you to fast the evening before for a glucose test. Most insurance companies will cover the annual physical for 100% by the way, thereby saving you your co-pay. MDK
