Well...even a broken clock is right twice a day...

It should be fun to see the Cháveznistas go after the Chomskyites and vise versa

If that's your idea of fun FDD, then you must be either sense-of-humour-challenged or seriously humour-deprived.

Not to worry, neither condition is anything that tuning into Jon Stewart and/or Colbert won't remedy! It's only a click on your remote away so it shouldn't strain your resources either physically or mentally .... well at least not in theory.......

Please accept my wishes for a happy, cheerful and fun-filled recovery! [:D]

Now you can sleep at night.

luckydawg -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 5:04:53 AM)

it is funny to see who rises to the bait.....

Owner59 -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 6:18:58 AM)

Guess that makes you the master-baiter.......[:D]

Didn`t read it,still tho I`m LOL.

Chavez is losing supporters internally as well.  Looks like his health took a sharp downward spike.  Too much coke and delusion musta wore him out.

I hope his following act is better.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 10:22:26 AM)

I agree DS.....There were a lot of Chávez supporters in this particular forum but they seemed to dried up over the last year.

DarkSteven -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 10:26:56 AM)

Um, by "internally", I meant within Venezuela.  I read that there is jockeying already for the Presidency.  And he's still above ground.

servantforuse -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 12:04:48 PM)

I hope that the CIA is there already just in case. He needs to go and a USA friendy leader needs to replace him.

Moonhead -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 12:16:25 PM)

Do you really want to see Brazil as an Islamic state?
The clock would be ticking as soon as the CIA replaced Chavez, put it that way.

Oh, CRAP no!  Our track record for CIA meddling is not so good.

Moonhead -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 12:48:34 PM)

To be fair to the company, there was twenty years between them deposing Mossadeq and swearing the Shah back in and the Iranian revolution.
(And of course, that wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for that evil commie Carter, so it wasn't the CIA's fault that happened...)

Termyn8or -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 1:01:37 PM)

FR

The CIA already tried that down there. Lasted about two days.

For some reason we think he must go but the people down there don't seem to agree. If there's a problem it's their problem.

Oh wait, they got oil ! WAR ! WAR ! WAR ! The tyrant must be vanquished !

T^T

Moonhead -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 1:03:51 PM)

I'm a bit surprised you didn't invade Norway over the oil: the chimp could have claimed that the Columbine shootings were over black metal rather than Maz Manson, and you'd have first dibs on all of that North Sea oil.
Might have gone a bit better than Iraq has, at least.

Termyn8or -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 1:09:29 PM)

How much do they have ? They don't look all that big to me. Someone must be unhappy there, we must stop these human rights violations !

( wait, we must answer the first question first, how much do they have ? )

Oil up the missiles just in case.........

T^T

Moonhead -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 1:16:44 PM)

Quite a bit. Most of Scandinavia hasn't even noticed the global recession*, but Norway is pissing away money on their welfare state that would make the Swedes shit blood. The oil must be selling pretty well for them.

*(Apart from Iceland, but I don't know if they count: they're not part of the Hanseatic mainland, even if they did used to have a viking or two.)

Yeah, that has always worked out for us in the past?
One definition of insanity....repeating the same action, over and over again...and expecting different results.

Owner59 -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 1:53:34 PM)

It`s not Chavez cons are sore about. It`s that he won office, democratically.

It`s democracy,.....that cons have problems with,........sometimes.

And then let`s not forget, shrub`s 1st of hundreds of world class fuck-ups,when he got involved in the coup d'état there, recognized the plotters(after meeting with them in DC)and then embarrassingly retracting the recognition.

What an ASS shrub was.

Shrubs defenders seem to have dried up here, on this forum.[:D]

Moonhead -> RE: Noam Chomsky turns on Hugo Chávez (7/4/2011 2:05:59 PM)

Maybe the GOP had them all rounded up and shot after the Kenyan was elected?

"You were a Bushevik!"
"Wasn't!"
"Was too! I have here a picture of you wandering around the 2004 convention with purple plasters stuck all over your fatuous whitebread face."
"Bugger."
"Take her out and shoot her."
