ORIGINAL: Hillwilliam I havent seen a playgirl in 30 years (since some dude in the dorm sent his pic in to the "Boy next Door" section) but I'd be willing to bet that it would be at LEAST 50/50 and there just might be more males purchasing. As for "cockshots" I have one and not many guys seem to look at it. I thought it was out of business as well, going back a couple of years, I sometimes submitted interviews to them (especially with musicians who would appeal to the errr more camp audience, Ricky Martin was very popular with their audience, I rest my case...), I think the print edition went out of business in most of Europe and thought in the US too. Everybody knew that the readership was mainly gay males, but the official line was that it is a magazine for women, I think about 70% or more males bought it and the subscribers were almost exclusively male. The pics were photoshopped to hell and back, it really was "Oh we got a couple of big cocks, we need some more for the ones who like them smaller... So if they already had the pics and the shoots were done, photoshop magic came into play. Another funny thing was the erection angle, I think they were only allowed 30 degrees, otherwise you couldn't sell it in newsstands but in adult shops only (apparently a male erection over a certain angle is pornographic) so if a guy was fluffed too much, photoshop and "bending him down". It was a source of great amusement to me to watch the graphics guys at work...
