walmart sells a putty like subtance.. in a teeny tiny lil capsule sized container.. that hardens into a temporary cavity filler that can easily be removed by the dentist on your visit. I used it once and the pain relief was amazing.

That I would love to get my hands on, suhlut... but living in Greece, has more disadvantages than being in the middle of the crisis... no walmart here ... yet anyway

Not that I know of. Concentrated clove oil would be a blessing, but it's not sold on end-user retail, only as dentist supply. For the time being, the pain is in low tolerable levels, hopefully I'll not need another nimesulide-paracetamol cocktail before going back home, or, with only 3 hours of sleep, i'll start dozing at the office

I did a quick search.. on temporary fillings.. and found instructions on how to make the putty at home ,but one ingredient is clove oil. Still.. If i were you.. I'd go take a stop at a local drug store on your way to work..and ask the pharmasist if they sell temporary tooth filling putty iin the drugstore over the counter.

Sorry I missed out on this earlier, as I'm sure the crisis is resolved by now. Any tooth ache I've had (after discovering this trick) has been dealt with most agreeably by one or two thin slices of ginger on the gum of the painful area. Put in new slices as the affect of the previous ones wear off. Hope that helps others.

Yes, the crisis has been, temporarily, taken care of... And, I should have thought of ginger on my own, especially since I ad a long conversation about figging, one night before...
