It's 5:51 AM local time, I've not slept a minute, and I have the worse tooth-ache in almost a decade!!!!! And, since 10 PM local time, I'm out of anything for the pain.

So, don't be surprised that I'm roaming the forums, answering whatever I can answer... I need to keep my mind off the pain, until the local pharmacy opens so I can get some pain-killers.

Pain killers first, then get that thing yanked out!

You may get some very good advice on this thread as well. Outside of methamphetamine addicts, I don't know that I've ever seen so many mouths full of rotten teeth as I have at a few BDSM gatherings.

Can't do, unfortunately...it's a.... collateral damage victim, from an accident I had a few days ago. It broke, and apparently it's getting a mild inflammation, and/or infection. Ill need antibiotics probably, to subdue the infection before removal... and my dentist won't be on, for another 4 hours. Gonna try and sleep, for as long as I can, though I doubt I'll make it

Get some antibiotics from the dentist first.  The gums are usually a cesspool of infections.

That is what my dentist did recently.

Anbesol and extra-strength Excedrin got me through a brutal toothache several years ago.

One good remedy can be found in your spice cabinet.
Take a piece of clove and place it along the gumlines.
It will numb it for a good while, and it isn't too bad a taste.

I am reaching my pain limits here... going to gargle my aftershave... it has enough alcohol to do the trick, and, obviously, I don't shave much... be back in a few, with a review for that experience

EDIT: After shave partially works. it gets you a very bad taste though. But it wears off too fast. And clove is not helping much either. I am stuffed with cloves and it still hurts

There isn't much worse than a horrible toothache.  Sure hope you get some relief soon.

This is sort of a last ditch effort. Do you have aspirin? Put the aspirin directly on the painful tooth and then let it dissolve on its own. That worked for me when I had an especially painful wisdom tooth trying to ascend. The downside? Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid, with acid being the operative word here. It burnt away the edges of the gums surrounding the tooth. I didn't feel it, I only noticed the next day. It helped kill the pain though.

Edited to add:
If it's exceptionally bad, go to the ER at your nearest hospital.

Some pain killers with a good bit of paracetamol (around 500 mg) should help although if going to da dentist it may interfear with any anaesthetic and its not good to take with alcohol. Might also help get to sleep if taken while trying to do so.

Here's a trick I learned from a medic in the Army when I had a horrible toothache which she said had the pain killing properties of morphine. Use tylenol (acetaminophen) and advil (ibuprofen), take the regular dosage of 2 pills every 4 hours but stagger them so you're taking one every 2 hours. For example 4:00 am take 2 advil. 6:00 am take 2 tylenol. 8:00 am take 2 advil. 10:00 am take 2 tylenol. Etc. Keep doing as long as necessary and of course this is a temporary measure not meant for long term use.

It works, I've done it. There is nothing worse than the pounding pain of a toothache...I hope you find some relief. And yes, I added scotch to the tylenol and advil as well like ResidentSadist suggested...

I question taking alcohol with Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Advil (ibuprofen). Acetaminophen and alcohol can both be hard on the liver.

The alcohol reference was kind of a throw away thing at the end of my posting because at the time when I needed something to take care of a toothache I got some relief from the advil and tylenol, but I still wanted to smash my head against the wall and damn if the alcohol didn't help. That was a one time thing till I got to a dentist. 
I guess I thought the OP would understand that using alcohol at any time for pain relief is a last ditch effort. He did say he was getting to a dentist in the near future and couldn't cope with it just for now.

I finally got "some" sleep, and it has helped, on the pain tolerance. I got some Nimesulide, with asirin, and it's gonna do the trick, until I'm back from work... dentist appointment is tomorrow, knowing from previous experience, he'll give me a infection treatment before even discussing sealing or removal
