Hi folks--

There's an incredibly looooong article about Roger Ailes in Rolling Stone here.  Pretty fascinating stuff.  He's actually got security details and bulletproof glass in his office, since he's convinced that al-Quaeda and gays are out to kill him.  Bought houses around his place to open up a larger perimeter.

Ailes is the one who really runs Fox News; Murdoch has little to no input.

Another far left  thread bashing FOX NEWS [:D]

Leftists really feel threatened by a little bit of balance, dont they

Rolling Stone is a far left rag, not exactly an impartial source for anything about media figures who dont tow the party line

And judging by all the left wing hate directed at him (as evidenced the hatemongering threads for example) bullet proof glass and a nice perimeter is just smart

Who wastes time on mainstream media disinformation these days?  If there are some people left, they deserve getting the crap (FOX or CNN whatever taste you prefer).

We have to get this employee free choice act passed and we have to get rid of the filibuster too.

The End of Unions?

Many union activists viewed the 2009-10 battle for the most recent iteration of labor law reform — the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) — as labor’s last stand. EFCA could never attain the magic 60-vote threshhold required to cut off a filibuster, despite the presence, at one point, of 60 Democratic senators. Given the rate at which private-sector unionization continues to fall (which in turn imperils support for public-sector unions), many of labor’s most thoughtful leaders now consider the Democrats’ inability to enact EFCA a death sentence for the American labor movement.

I suppose that might work in the shadow of Citizens United but it seems like a long shot. It does explain why the Republicans are going even more nuts than usual to enact vote suppression laws though.

I don't know, I personally hate it.

But it is entertaining listening to the propaganda and amusing that people believe the nonsense.

Yes, it's far saner to get your news from bloggers.  [8|]

Could you work a little harder please?

Your losing your entertainment value.  I can write out your post almost word for word before you make them.

Roger is 71, paranoid, and looks like he is one steak dinner away from a coronary.  When he dies, this media version of Al Queda will be without its Bin Laden, too.

Saul would be pleased.

With leftists starting two or three tired trollish threads per week agonizing over the existence of the one single network that fails to experience orgasmic tingles up and down its legs while Obama reads his teleprompter...

The onus isnt on me to be more creative

Yes virginia... Roger Ailes IS a raving fucking lunatic

As to the Murdock question???? Ummmm you don't think that Rolling Stone is going to be alerted when the greylians are about to announce that the UN is under their control, do you?

Fact is, it's Murdock's money, he HAS an agenda, nobody really thinks he's sitting in an office somewhere writing the news copy. But make no mistake. Roger does NOTHING without running it by the boss.

That was better, you used to always be great entertainment.

Who confuses FOX with news?

FOX deals in opinions which pander to a certain far right crowd.  It's all about generating cash from the crowd.

MSNBC saw the success and cash FOX was making and applied that same template to the far left.  Again it was about generating cash from that crowd.  They simply went left as FOX had already cornered the right.

Neither should be confused with news.

Both should be ignored in any context of facts.

Leftists such as yourself and flcouple talking about me instead of the topic though?

Thats the very pinnacle of predictability.
