Saul would be very pleased with the leftists here on these boards as well as with the Rolling Stone propaganda piece

The man is just fucking brilliant....I am NOT a fan of the crap he produces and has for so long but, give credit where it is due.

From his days with Nixon to Fox News, what a deviously smart and ultimately successful S.O.B. he is!

I really enjoyed the article, and it wasn't near as bad a hatchet job as it could have been. It was at least as "Fair and Balanced" as the shows his network produces.

mnottertail -> RE: Roger Ailes (Fox News) (5/31/2011 7:38:13 AM)

Why are you posting off topic about a King of Israel? And leftists?  This is about the fuckwad Roger Ailes and the rabid rightists that are as paraniod and fearmongering as he is.

Could you work a little harder please?

Come on man... his posts bring back the good old days for me, when my best friends and I would all congregate over somebody's house, get wicked high and watch Dr. Strangelove, parroting the lines. When his squirts out one of those "And judging by all the left wing hate directed at him (as evidenced the hatemongering threads for example)" lines, testing the limits of reason, I always think back to General jack Ripper saying "Ever see a commie drink water mandrake?"

How paranoid are you?

You even have to ask?
he's placed the title under his name to even try and beat us to that punch

mnottertail -> RE: Roger Ailes (Fox News) (5/31/2011 8:16:23 AM)

I can see the rapturous headline even now.

Roger Ailes bludgeoned to death in own home.

The rabid right wing gay group Old Log Cabin Republicans has taken responsibility for the slaying, saying he was dick beat to death for his unkind comments in an article in Rolling Stone earlier this year.

Nobody is looking for the killers.

Faux Nuze.

Oh here dear Sanity, let's try again

Who confuses FOX with news?

FOX deals in opinions which pander to a certain far right crowd.  It's all about generating cash from the crowd.

MSNBC saw the success and cash FOX was making and applied that same template to the far left.  Again it was about generating cash from that crowd.  They simply went left as FOX had already cornered the right.

Neither should be confused with news.

Both should be ignored in any context of facts.

Hey ... what ever happened to those poor co-opted bastards?

Did they break up with their republican boyfriends over gay marriage?

Close as they are going to get to listening to a presidential candidate speaking at their caucus is Norm Coleman.

(Senator before Franken, commercial that won it?  Norm's gotta go (in a scandinavian accent)).

Why are you posting off topic about a King of Israel?

Gee, Ron. It's almost like I was referencing a completely different "Saul" altogether, huh? Maybe one who wrote about the importance of attacking an institution by attacking a particular individual, and making him the personification of the institution while simultaneously demonizing him?

Lucylastic -> RE: Roger Ailes (Fox News) (5/31/2011 6:46:13 PM)

Using Saul is like bringing up Aldolf
cant call it godwin tho, godwin would be pissed at the lack of fore thought

Didnt you know Rich, or havent you heard?

Childs play utilizing semantics is now on par with adults engaging in serious discussion...

At least, in certain circles it is. [:)]

TheHeretic -> RE: Roger Ailes (Fox News) (5/31/2011 7:37:48 PM)

And as I've said elsewhere, at least in your presence if not to you specifically, Lucy, Machiavelli wasn't any sort of a power either, but writing the book he wrote, got his name permanently attached to the ideas.

Sanity -> RE: Roger Ailes (Fox News) (5/31/2011 8:09:41 PM)

I didnt call anyone  names in either post Luce...

And your semantics game, pretending I did or believing I did, whichever the case

Isnt in most circles on par with adults engaging in serious discussion

Though in yours perhaps it is, as I alluded to earlier
