PdxJ -> Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:02:18 AM)

I've seen numerous people recently claiming they are d&d free - what does that mean?

Thanks in advance!

They no longer roll the D8.

I'd assume one D stands for Drugs and the other Drink.

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:06:51 AM)

It stands for disease and drug free.

FullCircle -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:08:18 AM)

Ah..well one they can be sure of at least.

PdxJ -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:08:21 AM)

LOL!

Ok, I was thinking drugs and disease free.
I can't go for one of them being for 'drink'! lol!

DDF is not Dig Dlack Fock?

PdxJ -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:10:19 AM)

Thanks, I appreciate the language lesson. Damn Internet speak.

Don't you just hate this world where everything is inebriated, I blame texting.

PdxJ -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:28:46 AM)

Yes, it's obnoxious.

Kids these days have no clue how to spell without spell check - not like they use it anyway. They all use text speak and it's spreading like an IQ lowering disease.

I think the moral of this story is that a single letter doesn't have the same meaning as a single word and that people should refrain from using abbreviations if they expect anyone and everyone to understand what they are conveying.

Additionally we should seek out abbreviators and stick knitting needles through the webbed skin between their big and middle toes...or is that going too far?

popularDemand -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:42:30 AM)

PdxJ -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:43:53 AM)

To far? lol! What's that mean?

popularDemand -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:47:31 AM)

Spaces aren't allowed are they? This is my excuse.

littlewonder -> RE: Most likely a dumb question: (5/28/2011 9:54:20 AM)

uumm d&d abbreviation has been around longer than the net.

When I used to use the newspapers to search their singles pages that was always in use along with swm/swf, smf/smm and many others too numerous to list. It's not new to the net or cellphones or to teenagers lol.
