An unnamed source is someone who has firsthand knowledge of something, it isn't "I heard this on the street when I was walking my dog..."

 I think we have a pretty good idea that while the steroids fucked with his heart they didn't screw up his testicles. 

I don't really have any interest in celebrity gossip so why should I care?
