NiceGuyNihilist -> Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/5/2011 11:07:47 PM)

Having rattled a beehive with one of my recent threads, I've decided I owe you guys something light and easy. So: What's an oddball, preferably humorous nickname you've given a sub, or that a dominant person has given you?

I'll start. A Domme once nicknamed me "drumstick" after she ordered me to--well, never mind. The name was drumstick. That's all I wanna say.

The boy's name is clip.  How much more quirky can you ask for than that?

NiceGuyNihilist -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/5/2011 11:34:46 PM)

I know it's not fair to ask, but is there a story behind it?

LadyPact -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/5/2011 11:49:12 PM)

Why would it not be fair to ask?  I've posted about it before, so I'll try to keep it short and not bore the folks who already know the story.

When I first got clip, he was in Georgia (which was where I lived at the time, too) for his nursing/medic training. It really started out as a temporary situation.  One that, due to the circumstances, none of us were really expecting to go passed the time when we were all in the same location.  We fully expected it to be something that we would enjoy during our time together, while knowing there would be a time that it would be over.  Great and beautiful while it was blossoming, but the original plan was there with the knowledge that there would be an end, too.

Kind of like freshly clipped flowers that you bring in your house, even though you know they won't last forever.  You appreciate the beauty that they add to your life, for just that while.

So, I named him clip with that in mind.  I kept the name for him, even though it's four years later.

Because I declined to tell the story behind my own nickname.

And that's a very nice story. Poignant, even.

Charnegui -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/6/2011 1:00:03 AM)

My nickname wich I've been called for years, was given to me by collegues.....

Nowadays I don't have a name to go by..... I'm called by my own true name and nick's like here on fora, I choose myself.
To give you a little inside in my nick.... it has to do with a dogbreed  and it is a foreign language, but not Dutch.

No, no. I meant that *LP's* story was poignant. My story is...well, it's not poignant, whatever it is.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/6/2011 4:19:18 AM)

If I'm talking about rather than to her, she's the Angel. She says it makes her feel like a train station. [8D]

Boy-who-is-off-round-the-world is Tarka, because the Angel said that he looks like an otter, and I kind of had to agree.

Ishtarr -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/6/2011 4:58:25 AM)

ish
ishy
squishy
squish bug
bug bug

All started with an abbreviation of my actual name.
Considering that it's rather uncommon in Dutch to abbreviate names, and I so closely associate "Ish" with my former owner, it still irks me right now when somebody abbreviates my name unasked.

Ishtar

Your's is also one of the names I considered...
And I know what you mean, my real name is also somewhat longer than nowaday spoken.
So tnx for letting me know, I will not call you Ish, unless I absoluty do it by mistake.

BurntKitty -> RE: Quirky Nicknames Bestowed on Subs By Dominants (5/6/2011 5:12:11 AM)

BurntKitty was given to me by an ex (not a dominant). Let's just say using Nair and then laying out on the patio to sunbathe and to get an "all over" tan.... baaaad idea.
He came over and I showed him the redness and tender area, he laughed that I burnt the kitty. (Actually his remark was closer to "So you burnt the kitty. No problem. Turn over.") During dinner he mentioned it would be a cute nick in chatrooms. I've been BK or Burnt, or BurntKitty ever since.
