Lucylastic -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 4:13:07 PM)

FR
Having watched more interviews than I dare to think about in the last few days, all I can say is he is taking the piss.
If he had a BS meter within 100 miles of him it would explode in bullshittery overload.
The birther stuff is just for notoriety, his investigators have had three weeks to find something, when asked he said, "thats non of your business". talk about pathetic.
But hes "fighting like a girl" so Palin is happy, slagging off everyone who is saying he is a joke
He wont win the nomination, he may run as an independent, he is nothing more than a pathetic rich white guy with combover viagra induced nose hair

domiguy -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 4:17:52 PM)

why is it to soon to speculate?

Obama is an easy winner for reelection.

Most Republicans are trillionairs.

That's because they hoard aluminum.

An awful lot of time and not a whole lot of true potentials. I get the feeling someone is waiting in the wings.

What I like about Trump the most is the  way he makes leftists heads explode, without even really trying.

But yeah, hes a bullshitter.

That's the Donald.

He's an attention whore with an over-inflated ego.

Remember this book?

It should have consisted of one sentence, inherit Daddy's money.

Lucylastic -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 4:42:11 PM)

Anyone who  thinks he is a serious contender is battier than the rest of the "candidates" so far
He is as transparent as a transparent clear thing.
His idea about OPEC had me laughing out loud, he really is a jerkwad.
Isnt anyone ashamed that the pool of candidates has fallen this low ???
Its obvious the GOP have no desire to have a republican president
I dont blame them

domiguy -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 4:52:47 PM)

why would anyone's head explode over Trump?

He will be long gone come election time.

DarkSteven -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 5:47:53 PM)

Well, he says he is and the Dems don't want him.

I have no idea who will win the nomination, maybe Pawlenty. Doesnt matter what speculation is at this point though, doesnt matter what the polls say. It is still way too early, anything can happen and any dark horse can charge to the front of the pack, someone could even emerge to challenge Obama in the DNC, you just never know.

I doubt that any other Dem could get sufficient funding from the Dem fundraising machine.

Yeah, speaking of dark horses, who would have predicted an Obama nomination back in '06?

TheHeretic -> RE: Is Trump REALLY a Republican? (4/20/2011 7:02:08 PM)

Well, I don't understand your glitch with including the lead, or a chunk, right there in the OP, Hill. It provides readers with an opportunity to understand what they are being linked to. Some people enjoy these forums with the aid of crappy old computers that crash IE when you open a new window randomly, you know. If the link to the whole thing is there, what's the problem?

Anyhow, that aside, I'll answer the question of your thread title.

No. Sideshow Donald has as much substance as a Republican, as he does to his hair. He's not conservative. He's not liberal. He's neither Republican nor Democrat. He's a Trumpican. I'm not enthused.

Well, he's asking for cash in San Francisco now, and will be doing it in west LA tomorrow, Steve. It will interesting to see how deeply they dig for him.

Keep an eye on McChrystal.

As Vice-President, sure. Top of the ticket? And winning??? Oh hell no.

Explode with laughter!

Well, it's really his hair that makes my head explode with laughter.  The stuff on his head, not the hair in his nose.

When I'm using an article as an OP, I post the link for those with the time and then do a bit of a summary.

It is a habit I picked up in grad school. You write an abstract which summarizes your work in 500 words or less and then you submit the whole paper attatched which could be 5000 to 500,000 words.

Most folks read the abstract and then decide if they want to dig deeper.

I think that is why the RNC didn't get serious about trying to win until it was too late.

They saw Hillary getting the nomination and being unbeatable. Then, the unthinkable happened. A beatable candidate got the nomination and they were caught with their pants around their ankles.

What are your thoughts?

This is what you should have posted about him, I like this idea.
