The lunch that the former casino cook was serving for 2,50 was nothing to scoff at either. Yes Phoenix, the lunch at German schools is still rather good, even if not as awe inspiring as the French ones. At the moment I pay 3,30 Euro per lunch for my kids, and they get a appetizer of salad, soup or some small other thing, a choice of three entees, one meatless, with at least a choice of two fresh vegetables, and a dessert choice skewed to the healthy side. The food is cooked fresh on site, and they use local and in season products as well as organic stuff as much as possible. We get the meal plan two weeks in advance, the selection can be changed till one day before.
