it certainly does. for my doubly so, not just the pain of what he'd done, but the stress of the situation flared up my Tietze syndrome. this is inflamation of the cartilege that joins the ribs to the sturnum and gives the exact same symptoms and pain as a heart attack.

oh boy would i like to be able to inflict the equal amount of pain

Yes.

The dumper may feel physical pain too, but not likely as much as the dumpee.

Is there any reason we shouldn't expect to see a similar phenomenon with high-stress extreme sports? Biochemically, is there any difference between the stress of rejection and the stress of skydiving? I would assume there is, but I wonder if this is actually known.
