I used to spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much time here too, but am developing some moderation.

If people don't close their session, it may look like they are on when they are actually away.

Some people don't sign out. They'll have a moment free and check back in but they aren't actually reading and posting. I tend to leave it open if I'm on the computer but that doesn't mean I'm actually here. I'm really just a figment of your imagination.

Pretty much all my spare time. I usually have the mail & forum page open in the background whenever I am on the computer.

My computer spends far more time here than I actually do. How much time I spend here is a direct reflection of what else I do not have to do. Which is why I am on here much MUCH less when I am not at work.

Wayyyyyyyy too much time.  But then I also never sign out.  And why would you think it was only Dominant women?  That's a pretty broad stroke of the brush isn't it?

I think he notices dominant women more so it's his perception.

i usually forget to log out -- that forgetting is so prevalent that i've mentioned it on my profile. =p
i tend to just leave my browser open because i'll find a page i want to come back to and read, but i dont want to favorite it because i don't imagine i'll need it later. thanks to tabs, i can keep e-mail, fetlife, collarme, some recipe site, a shoe site, a news site, or whatever it is i'm looking at, open and come back to them when i get the need.
and then of course, with internet on phones, it gets even easier (though CM hasn't been loading properly on my phone lately, soooooo ...)

anyway, i figured out how to hide my online status on this side, that way it doesn't look like i'm hovering on a thread if i've wandered away, or gone to the store, or am gone to work or class or an event or WHEREVER. how much time? i dunno -- sometimes too much, sometimes just enough, sometimes not as little as i'd like.

For me it varies.. I use two computers, one running Linux and the other running Windows XP.. I usually have a browser open with multiple tabs and am logged in constantly to my e-mail, Facebook and CM.

Usually here I'm between stuff.. and even when it seems I'm here all the time I'm actually doing other stuff as well and even using different programs..

It depends..

I do spend a lot of spare time here, but I'm not always here when I'm doing it.

I have a terrible log out habit.  I also have a terrible tabs habit.  If a thread starts in General and gets move to Random Stupidity, I just click the link, so then I've got two windows open.  Repeat the process a few more times and well, you get the picture.

There was another thread recently that asked something similar, so I did the math.  I've averaged about eleven posts a day here since I joined.  I could do that in an hour.

With the technology of "always on" internet, we do tend to walk away from the pc, but still appear to be online.
But to answer the question directly, We (one of both of us) spend way too much time here. Kinda like hanging out at your favorite bar and not getting drunk, just coming in to see who's there and what is happening!

I don't ever actually go so far as to 'log out', per se; I just close the browser when I'm done, and then when I want to come back *BAM* there's my home page waiting on me already.
Today though, we had something weird happen, which we suspect was due to a(nother) possible solar flare: power surge and shut down not attributable to other impetus, which set my comp time and clock back to New Year's Eve 2006 and the time to 11 PM (WTF?!), and then when we got back online and I came here, I had to re-enter my information and sign back in.
I am online most solar-flareless and Net-available evenings, and when I am, I usually have at least three tabs open at any given time. This is almost always one of them.
Yes, I need help. Your point?

I also keep logged in and I had worked at home alot, so I spent too much time here.

It is a great distraction.
