It stays logged in while I am working. I am still here too much but not as constantly as it might appear.

I stay logged into the forum and pop over when I need a distraction.

I'm another one with a terrible tab habit. I'm pretty much always here, evern when I'm not. And lately I'm here even more, because I can bring my laptop to work with me now.

Between the mail room and the forums, a good 4-6 hours per day.

Usually I have around three windows open and often I am multi tasking with some non-online things. <Eating dinner or doing grunt work on my Pokemon game, like hatching eggs>

I'll leave the computer on while doing laundry, and sit down and start reading as each batch of clothing is folded and put away and I'm waiting for the next. I check my mail when waking up and before going to bed. (A lot of time is spent in the mail room, answering letters and sending ones out to friends. I think I have a rep for "epic posting" and letters I send out are more of the same.)

If a favorite old forum hadn't been hacked (was on EZ Board) and shut down, I would likely be spending most of my time there as the regulars were sort of a second family to me. Since I used to mod there, I spent a good eight hours per day...I spend a lot less time here at CM.

If my butt didn't get numb in this chair, I'd might spend even more time here, lol.

What i'm curious about is, if they dont log off but are AFK how do they manage to always stay at the top of the list

As far as I know, there isn't any "afk" status. You're either logged on or logged off. It doesn't register actual activity. You don't have to be actually typing to register as online to other users on the home page or on the forums.

Of course, I'm kind of a computer twit, so I'm not the greatest person to answer the question.

I stay logged in pretty much 24/7. I am not here all that time (damn job), but I do spend way too much time here (as can be attested to by my posting history)

Okay...I'll admit it.

This is just my human disguise. Underneath it all is a horrible gargantuan tarantula form where I survey everything on the internet and linger around in my massive sprawling web. I type all my messages using a Power Macintosh. We do not have this new technology on Neptune yet.

I must go pre-order a Windows 95 OS.

Cm starts as soon as I run Chrome.
That way I forced myself to answer mails emmediately.
And while I am answering..I look at profiles...and peek into the forums.
I would say 2hours+ online a day at CM...but not all the time active.
