I’ve never been a fan of growing energy. As a world we are having a hard enough time growing food let alone energy. The nutrients in our fertile ground or not infinite neither is our aquifer. We are already running out of water.

I’m all for alternate fuel sources but not for trading one problem for another.

There is a difference between our societies... WE are controlled by big business and lobbying in congress… But… we see it… understand it… and fight it as a people. This battle keeps progress slow but also keeps us diversified with a steady over time growth.

The Chinese CONTROL big business and this allows them to change directions quickly but they also run a greater risk of financial and social disaster.

I think…lol

That and they probably also benefit from green energy r&d tax credits, I'd guess.  They may well also be positioning themselves for a future change in energy technology and/or acquiring as many patents as they can in order to control the introduction of new technology.

REALLY interesting article. Good luck and God bless them. There's no way to invest in them?
I'm convinced we're on the edge of technologies that will revolutionize not life on earth, but life in the galaxy, and change/challenge the very definition of "human" (would a robot whose "brain" was a human brain downloaded to a special processor qualify?).
Are you familiar with "The Singularity"? Ray Kurzweil? Things really are going to change......

One of my most earnest prayers is to live long enough to see Middle Eastern potentates calling the United States, offering deals on #1 Light Sweet Extra White Sand to deal with any beach erosion we might be experiencing.
