I have always slept better during the day.....it's been my sleep cycle since I was a kid, believe it or not. My mom said I'd keep her awake at night even in the womb! Even now, I'd rather work midnights than any other shift. For those of you having sleep issues, try selenium. I use both the melatonin and the selenium, but not always together. I don't notice a huge difference in the amount of sleep I get, but the sleep I do get is BETTER. Melatonin tends to give me wierd dreams, which aren't a problem, but I still cycle out of REM sleep sometimes if I don't take enough. I take the 3mg melatonin, usually 4-5 at a time, and the 200mcg of selenium. I know all too well how it feels to be desperate for sleep. So far, the selenium seems to work.
