This is interesting GT because I spent part of my weekend looking
at cars that were a little different.

There are also a couple of other things I thought about.

How are those going to perform in less than perfect weather?
How are they going to do in the snow?  Or how much of the available
electric power is going to be devoted to air conditioning in a climate
like Phoenix or Houston?   That little plastic egg is going to need some
serious heat and AC.

It is still interesting to see how the manufacturers are thinking.
Thanks for sharing.

You have excellent and expensive taste young lady.  That is one of the
famous Figoni et Falaschi  bodied  Delahaye 165 V12s.  Very few were ever
built.  http://www.eevamoritz.com/del165.html   Just for reference it was
designed in 1938.  It was the New York Worlds Fair car.

Kinda the opposite of using the little GM egg to carry two people.

If you like the French designs of the 30's than you would love this Museum.

Here is another example of what they came up with.  A 1939 Sadutchik design.
Note the doors that moved out in one piece towards the rear.  Which allowed
the use of the curved glass which went into the roof line.

Well, I have totally hijacked your thread, so we may as well continue.

Since the rear view is important to you here is a site with a bunch of pictures
of the RED one you are so fond of, including pics of the rear.  It is the same car.

http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z9217/Delahaye-Type-165.aspx

There are pictures of the car being shown at Pebble Beach and one next
to a big Packard sedan.  Click on that and you will see how BIG this thing
really is.  Enjoy GT

meh.. I prefer the older body style.  too many car makers are going to the so called aerodynamic style.. which (IMO) leaves them looking pretty damned generic looking.

I mean, realy, look at the new Jags? fuckers look like Lincoln Town Cars!!
