the situation in Egypt being the start of world wide conflict? I was listening to NPR (just a few minutes ago), and all of a sudden, the Naval Atomic clock came on, verbally marking time. After about 5-10 seconds of listening to time change, I started to wonder if this were simply a technical glitch with my local station or done deliberately because the balloon had gone up (yes, jumping to conclusions is my best exercise!!). NPR resumed, and I wondered if anyone else would entertain such an idea. I'm not ready to fold my tin foil hat just yet, but is anyone else worried about some huge shift coming with the protests in so many Middle Eastern countries?

I am unsure if this will spread further hlen. When the Soviet Union collaped the whole region collapsed, due to the knock on effect. The regime in Iran is starting to crack and eventually it will fall. It is my opinion any regime in power for a long time needs to modernise eventually to stave off revolution. Syria and Saudi Arabia could follow suit eventually.

The regime in Iran is continuing to export Mohammads original terroristic revolution, so if it is cracking it isnt happening nearly fast enough.

The Berlin Wall didnt fall overnight either though, It was a slow process that started in Poland with Solidarnosk and continued to trickle its way through Eastern Europe.

Well, I am tiered from listening people get killed here & there & by a foreign force or a domestic force I am wondering dose people don’t have a brain to just set down & talk things out. He won't step down for the same reason Berlusconi won't i.e. protection. As soon as you step down what protection do you have from the anger of the people for the things you have done to them over the years?

If the MB gains a dominant role in Egyptian government the concept that Iran will "crack" without military intervention is absurd. If WW III is indeed destined to be over the Middle East, an Egypt-Iran axis is ground zero, and it will be in my lifetime.

Panda is filled with gobble ti gook as well.. As for myself, I'm watching the Packers beat the Steelers for the 3rd night in a row. No NPR for me..

I've watched it 5 times. I can't take it anymore. I burned it to DVD, and will have to check back this weekend and make sure it really happened the way I remember it.
