ORIGINAL: LadyPact Help Me out here, It's early in My time zone and I definitely need more caffeine. The multi room video chat is always highlighted red, therefore it is sexist? When i log in, the multi video chatroom is always red. The OP's is always red. Lockit's is (apparently) always red. We are all women. That may or may not be a coincidence. Termy checked His, and apparently His multivideo chatroom is always black. He is also a man. (as far as i know, haha!) That may or not be a coincidence. None of the other men who have responded to this post have said whether their multi video chatroom shows up red or black. If they would say, then maybe we would have a better idea of whether it is a mere coincidence, or whether it is based on the sex of the user. Why would collarme program their site to make the female users' multi video chatroom show in red, while the male users' shows in black? i can only speculate. One reason might be to encourage female users to click on that feature, since normally the red lettering means "new messages", "new admirers", etc. Seeing that lettering in red would tend to make a person click on it. It's possible the site wants to encourage women to visit the multivideo chatroom because they need more women there; maybe there are too many men. i don't know whether or not that's true. i've never viewed the homepage from a man's perspective. i have no idea whether the feature shows up always red for women and always black for men. If more people would respond and say whether theirs is red or black we could determine that. The OP wrote a vague thread. She assumes that the feature is red only for women, but does not offer any reasons. Maybe she has a good reason. Maybe she has a boyfriend and has noticed that the feature is black when he logs on, or something. Maybe she knows for a fact that it is different colors for men and women, and assumes that is common knowledge to those of us that have been here longer than her. i don't know whether the OP has any reason to assume that or not. If so, she doesn't say. As for myself, i don't know either, since i have no basis for comparison. However, i think that the question might not be as stupid as it seems. pam
