Status: offline 		I have noticed that on this forum people are very judgmental and negative about Financial Slavery.
I thought that everyone on this site had their kinks and that was why we're all here.
Financial Slavery serves that purpose, and I think a lot of people a quick to dismiss it. I have been a Financial Mistress for about 4 years, and having seen most sides of I can understand how it may have negative connotations, however I don't see why people are so quick to just call it sad, or to insult Mistresses themselves.

Status: offline 		Unfortunately I think that many kinksters into financial slavery or agreements get lumped up with people that aren't really kinksters and are just players stealing from others that are kinksters.

Do keep in mind, many people have been here for a while and you tend to get to know one another and might have history you are unaware of.

As for in email and journals and all the things said there... its a combination of things. I think a lot of people are angry and use each of these things to make a statement or punish someone.

Sure we all have our kinks, FD doesn't float my boat (to be honest, I would feel like I'm begging instead of working, others see it differently) but if people want to indulge in FD, all the more power to them...

But sometimes there are posts and profiles that make me wonder how much of it is really a fetish and how much is just "I want my bills paid"

Stuff like that tends to make us think not so great about the fetish, though it doesn't seem to work all that well, or else a proper manicure and not so laddered tights might be an option...

Seriously, sitting there, expecting people give you money for nothing somehow just isn't a fetish.

Not really, I know people who are into it, on both sides and they get off on it, but they don't show that "give me money for nothing, you dirty pig" attitude...

Status: offline 		I've always wondered how it was supposed to work. As in most things kink, some people change the initial meaning or intention to benefit them, and only them. What was the original idea/goal/thought behind financial domination? Was it just the control of assets, and not necessarily the "taking" of money from people? Was it more like paying a Pro Dom/me? I see the ads all the time for "Financial Dominants" and I read it the same way most do.. "pay my way in life for free." I've also noticed, and perhaps this is a skewed view, that it tends to be perpetrated most often by people who are supposedly women about my age. I say supposedly because a part of me thinks that the fantasy "Domme" for a lot of people is a woman about my age, which is why a predator would choose those statistics in order to have the best chance of succeeding in fleecing people.

People can tell you what to wear, and how to spend your money; but you have a legal right to wear whatever the hell you want, as well as spending your money in your preferred fashion. Legal rights are obligations too, and having the legal right to call something yours means that you won't be calling yours something that is someone else's; you cannot take someone else's choices for them unless of course, they agree. So IF slave agrees, it's done. It's the only way to do it. However I don't believe in contracts and that sort of things, even when they're not really legal. I think it's part of slave's prerrogative for when they 'use a safeword.'

Personally, if you get your kicks from making someone your financial slave and a sub type gets his or her kicks from being your financial slave then that's fair enough.

The problem is (I think) that this site has a goodly number of out-and-out scammers who see "Tribute" and "Financial Slavery" as a way to make some easy money. I wouldn't put your profile into that category,though, as you seem to be fairly clear about what you will and wont give in return.

But, your kink (assuming it's a genuine kink) is fairly "niche". On reading your profile my reaction was the same as DarkSteven's reaction on your intro thread..

Then, you tell me what I can do if this doesn't apply to me, you tell me to "fuck off".

What the fuck? I've taken the trouble to read your post, and now you're telling me to fuck off?

Can you guess what my immediate thought was in response to that?

So you're pursuing a communication style that is bound to alienate a very high proportion of people here, so you can expect a little disapproval. In the book "The Five Love Languages"..... the giving and receiving of gifts is consider an expression of love. I see financial slavery done well when this the motivating factor between those people involved. Some love to express their love by the giving of gifts and some see those expressions the recieving of love. I think when one is rather twisted.... they can take this to an area of fun and expressive of their kinky side.....

short of that... I tend to see it as a fool and his money!!!!

If a guy gets turned on by giving money to somebody, hey, might not be your kink, might not be my kink, but the guy who's giving his money possibly gets a massive erection from it, all the more power for him, it's not your money, it's not my money, where's the problem.

Btw what's wrong with prostitution? I'm for one am glad that there are prostitutes, they offer something that's apparently wanted, otherwise there would be plenty of really frustrated guys about.

More curious still is the notion this is strictly the domain of the dubious Mistress or pseudo-Mistress. If slavery is what we are speaking of, there is no need to give it a "financial" qualifier. Now there is a saying about fools and their monies, and there's some credence to it without a doubt, but it's more the province of the sour grapes and bitter misogynists who attribute financial servitude solely to predator whores and pretty parasites. If a mere fetish is all we're really talking about, then why waste time or energy thinking about the naysayers? As the song goes, Do It ('Til You're Satisfied), and let the haters/moralists eat their bleeding little hearts out.

However I try to be open minded, that whole glass house throwing stones thing.
