What is the most inappropriate thing you have ever seen?

I was at a funeral once and whoever was doing the music (as if there needs to be any at a funeral) BLASTED Eifeel 65- Blue (da ba dee)

If anyone doesn't know this song...listen to it here on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icChQnRAKfg

NOW, imagine that being blasted in the background at a funeral with a hysterically crying mother. Did I mention the funeral was for a FIVE YEAR OLD BOY?! It was AWFUL!!

People who go to restaurants and try to order stuff that's not on the menu, or...

**split 1 caesar salad between 4 people as an entree
**walk in as a 20 top without reservations
**bring in screaming babies
**flirt with or otherwise heckle the service staff
**talk so loud that the entire restaurant can hear them
**leave a pitifully low tip for good service

Restaurants whose staff are pretentious and rude, or...
**have employees who stand around socialising instead of doing their jobs
**send food out that's burnt, missing ingredients, over/underseasoned, at an inappropriate temperature, or just plain wrong, in the hopes that no one will notice
**don't follow proper food handling procedures, because it's too hard, and no one else follows the rules, right?
**don't train their staff
**print misinformation on their menus, such as "fresh" salmon (instead of frozen)
**charge exorbitant prixes for mediocre food

pam

I was a pall bearer at a funeral once and we were loading the casket. One bearer was missing. Guess where he was? On his fucking CELL PHONE.

When I visited my ex's family, shortly after we were married, I met her idiot brother, who spent the whole conversation with us whining about what a bitch his ex-wife was.  Not the sort of congratulatory talk to give to newlyweds.

I don't blame the poor bastard.  I would have died too.

my dad when he made comments on my grandmas deathbed (she was his mother in law) just 2-3 hours after she had passed away that she could still be alive if she would have wanted, a la blaming her for not fighting more against her cancer. I was disgusted about this as quite frankly she felt no need to fight for longer (and i don't blame her, after all her cancer was incurable and there was no sign for any great grandums in the near future) and it is inappropriate to talk like that at the deathbed from someone who had just passed away.

He managed to top this behaviour with yelling at me twice during her funeral as he (for reasons only known to him) insisted for me to walk behind him and my mum instead of next to my mum when granny was brought to her grave...I only complied after his second yell as I know that granny wouldnt want such behaviour at her funeral and this behaviour is likely one of the main reasons that I might not attend his funeral one day...

at a later stage he also damaged a piecce of furniture I inherited from grandma and the way the damage happened nobody can tell me that this would have happened accidentially...

Jeesh, I could write a book of all the inappropriate things I've seen. And I'd *still* not run out of stories.

Well, I didn't see this, but heard about it later.....one of the women I worked w/in AZ was eating nuts, and the afternoon dispatcher was there, too.  One of the nuts she was eating was a Brazil nut......I don't know how many of you are aware of the other name for those nuts, but anyway, she called the nut by it's "nickname"......and the afternoon dispatcher is black.   It's a good thing I wasn't there, because I would've clocked the one woman for being absolutely, positively too stupid for words!  When the supervisor mentioned it to her later, she just sort of blew it off as a joke....like "oops, I didn't realize what I said!"  The other dispatcher obviously had more class than the one did, she just didn't even respond to the comment.

Maybe we should rename the thread to include death and/or funerals.

My add on would be at a family funeral, my elderly aunt pulled down the collar of the deceased's neck to show everyone passing by the cancer growth that killed them.

LOL, normally, yes that would be a good thing. With these two, acting crazy on a first date was bad.

The only way I could see that as being anything but crass is if it was the kid's favorite song. I found it unlistenable myself, but if the kid liked it, OK then.

But maybe not completely OK, blasting it ? Blasting anything at such a time is not good. Why do people hire a fucking DJ for a funeral anyway ? What the hell is wrong with them ?

If this is the worst thing in life, you are lucky. Wait until more of the secrets of Man's inhumanity to Man reach you, and then there are the others. The soulless creatures who masquerade as humans, I don't even want to go into it right now.

I hope you lost that fuckhead in a hurry, in a blizzard, naked.

ETA : I can top this I think. I just remembered it. A guy I worked with had a deal on a house. The owner was dying of terminal cancer and had about a year to go. He and his family were on the outs, so he made a deal. He wanted to be fed, housed, all that in his own house until the day he died. He required a bottle of whiskey per day, and he wasn't paying the bills anymore. Their family was welcome to live there, and not worry about moving. I guess they treated him alright but I don't know. He willed the house to them, with certain conditions, but at the time the place was worth better than a quarter million.

Of course eventually he died and the family inherited the property. Nice place. At the funeral, the son of the person who made this deal had inherited the property, and in lieu of his Father, he was to say a few words at the funeral. A few words..... Those words were :

"Life's a bitch and then you die".

That's fucked up. Even if he was on the outs with his family, either they buried the hatchet, or there were some who cared. In that place and time, I think those words were quite inapropriate. I mean very inapropiate.

I think even if I hated the guy I could find the decency to say something like :

"He lived the way he wanted to, and he died the way he wanted to".

My auntie at my baby nephews funeral. She turned to me and said, 'your sister must of done some terrible things in her past life'. I have never spoken to her since.

You should've fucked him right on the altar. Right in front of everbody. If he is that out of control and you know how to turn it on, he would be out of the family except for that check every month for child support.
