PA, don't be. I used to blame myself and tried for so many years. Now it's up to her. Your sister may have to face the same fact, I hope she doesn't especially when there are nieces and nephews involved.
My best advice for you is to love them both as you've been doing, when and if he's ever ready to come to his senses he will, if not it's his loss and one day it'll be a decision he comes to regret. Warmest holiday wishes to you and yours.
