Actually I find the situation telling of the internal politics at MSNBC. Joe Scarborough got caught giving money to a republican candidate back in 2006 qand it was excused because he wasn't a reporter but the host of an opinion show http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19113455/#Scarborough So it seems that they are applying a double standard. The rumor is the top brass at MSNBC have never liked the networks liberal slant and this is part of moving right.
