I am afraid to ask how to turn my car clock back.

My hands STILL hurt from 3 days ago.

The time on the clock is connected to the transmission through a series of cogs. So basically you have to drive backwards through all the journeys you made within the last hour.

Not to worry- I can look it up in my handbook.

Maybe have  Miles send a car, and some grey poupon.

My Grampa used to fix car clocks, now that I think of it he fixed almost anything. If he couldn't fix it you didn't need it and that was that.

Was he called 'Jim'? I think I might have seen him on TV once.

Way better, his name was Stanley.

Actually that is no joke. He made a nice piece of change developing a modification for some kind of machinery, which the manufacturer implemented nationwide. I'm not bad at fixing things myself, but I have no such claim to fame. I don't think he ever owned much of anything he couldn't fix himself, within reason. For example taking in a cylinder head to have it "done", like shaving it and grinding/lapping in the valves, but he would do the rest. Later he had sons for such tasks.
