Your spelling is so cute! I want to hug you. I'm really happy for those miners and their families.

As an aside, it took an american to dig them out. He worked 33 days straight. I bet that dude can't pick up his own restaurant tab or pay for his own beer anywhere in that country now. They almost drowned him in champagne when the hole broke thru. Good job by everyone in ALL the countries involved.

Lucylastic -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 8:03:35 AM)

Yaaaaaaay for goood news and saved lives

15 miners are now out..

BonesFromAsh -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 6:00:40 PM)

The final miner, Luis Urzúa the foreman on duty, is out!

I've been listening to and watching coverage through out the day and I'm just in awe. I wish the best to all these men and their families.

What else can you say except........don't forget the five resuce workers still down there!!!

dcnovice -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 6:05:34 PM)

Wonderful news!

servantforuse -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 6:15:33 PM)

if this night doesn't make any citizen of the United States proud, it's time for you to move. This is a great night for Chile and the United States..Thank God those miners all got out safe.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 6:22:16 PM)

I just watched the last one come up. Now dont forget those rescuers that are still at the bottom of the hole. I can see em in the morning.... um hey guys...guys? GUYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSS

LadyRian -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 6:24:42 PM)

I am still hopeing that the cable doesn't break before they get out. Kudos to them for going in that hell hole to help those guys in the end.

LuneRune -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 7:07:16 PM)

I've been transfixed by this since they started bringing them out, and it was really wonderful to watch that last miner stepping off the Phoenix II capsule. Truly an incredible story.

Anaxagoras -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 7:37:34 PM)

It’s a great story and will make a big blockbuster one day. Don’t want to spoil a feel good story but I felt the media response was annoying. Although I know I’m probably in a minority saying this but guys repeatedly coming out of a hole doesn't make for riveting viewing in the context of live 24 hour coverage. It just isn’t enough to sustain such massive coverage and it was kind of amusing hearing commentators struggle for words on different channels. I feel the event was milked excessively by the media and being reunited with their families after near death should always be off limits IMHO.

poise -> RE: Chile Miners Fineally Emmerge (10/13/2010 8:02:08 PM)

And yet, for weeks we were glued to the tv watching the same images of the World Trade Center
crumble to the ground. I suppose its all about emotional investment... neither were meant to win
awards for entertainment value.
