October!!! We have tomatoes that haven't even ripened yet! EEh. Well, Susan's memorial is next weekend, and there is the work of sorting her quilts for display... and the thrill of the estate. I am brokity broke broke. I need a good job!! Unemployment FAILS, and things look extra crappy at my company...like, it is SO time to leave, and who knows if they will renew my contract? Yeah, it's that happyhappy.[&o] If anyone in Michigan is going to the SPACE party next week, bring monies, I am shifting NEW things in the garage sale! In the interests of getting cash, and the continual thinning out of my collection. I don't have a whole lot to shift, since there have been a couple fundraisers in the last year that I donated to, but my rose cane from SimplyMichael? IS FOR SALE. This makes me sad, but let's be real: likelihood of me having a fluid bonded playmate in the next year? NIL.

You just had to tell Me that part, huh? I've seen that cane and whoever buys it will be getting a very nice piece. (Yes, I'm jealous.) OK, October. As with every October roll call that we actually do on the first, today is MP's birthday. It's a bit of a subdued celebration because of him still recovering from the shoulder surgery in August. Basically, it's dinner out and then home in the evening. He sees the doctor today concerning how much longer he'll be wearing the sling. There are still two more weeks of him being at home and I'll be glad to have him go back to work. Unfortunately, clip has been struggling with some issues that directly relate to military service versus employment. The stress is building for him somewhat and there isn't much that I can propose to see it be alleviated. Hopefully, there will be an improvement by next month. I have been pouring Myself into the slave auction that I've been organizing. Barring a catastrophe of some kind, I think we're looking at a successful event. I'm very pleased with how many folks have shown an interest in being there and just how far some of them are willing to come to participate. It's been a while since I've been the driving force behind something like this, so it's both more work and more fulfilling than I remember. I'm sure I'll be posting about it once the event has been held, as there are some folks on CM that are attending. In the meantime, I may just have My eye on someone.

The last month has been both good and bad for me. On the good side Im chugging right along at school. Im aceing all of my classes (yay for studying), and Im making a few new friends. Also, an old flame of mine has come back around. Neither of us was in a good place the last time, but now, things are alot better between us because we are better people. I've also gotten a new job (again), this time working the meat counter at a grocery store (an yes, its a union job). On the bad side, Ive managed to sprain my ankle, and Im doing physical therapy for the next month. Luckily, I did it on the clock at the pizza place, so Im not paying a dime for it.

October sees me lighting fires, preparing for trick or treat and generally preparing the house for "nesting" in for the winter. We are going through a tough time business wise. It is hard to be in business in Ireland right now but all we can carry on doing is ignore the doom and keep on trying to meet our goals (without the support of banks). Home life is great and that is worth more that any other kind of success. We acquired a new family pet. This one has four legs and likes eating puppy food :-) Collar and lead have taken on a double meaning :-)

october already? damn. well, i'm busier than ever, mom's taxi is always busy these days. if it's not therapy for one kid it's football for another, visiting their friends, whatever. i'm getting used to the area, being able to go someplace and not needing the gps is a big plus. i'll still need it for awhile, not familiar with some of the outlying areas, but i'm getting there. i'm thinking about going back to school next spring and finishing my degree but i need to look into which school i'm going to attend. other than that, not much going on. i'm hoping to do some minor home repairs this month and then look into giving my kids a nice christmas. life is simple here, i kinda like it. even my parents say i sound happier here than i have in a long time, they just hate that it's 2.5 hours away from home. i used to be there all the time, now i'm lucky if i visit once a month.

~FR~ I'm a little behind, but today I finished up the theory portion of my course I'm taking and now I'm ready to get going on the clinicals except for some of the prep work. There are fees involved w/ the prep work, so that will have to wait until November. Then in November I'll be able to start my clinicals. Finally!!! Also, I got a new laptop. I've never had a laptop before, and it just amazes me that it has everything and then some that my desktop PC had, but it's so small! Other than that, my personal life is like "never a dull moment!" lol ~sweetsub~

Still busy here, travelling, working on My PhD (wrestling with the literature review chapter ... just when do you say "enough" and stop reading more stuff), and also doing some data analysis work and swearing at Excel. NEED MONEY LOL! The kittens are doing great, and are always entertaining, and I love it when Magic the 11yo dog looks like a puppy again when playing chasey with them. We have been looking into selling some of our zillions of pics as stock photography, this could be a great thing for Master to run and earn some $$ ... did I mention we need money? I doubt it will earn a fortune, especially not straight off, but we're taking the photos anyway so if they can earn cash too, why not! And hoping to meet up with a sub male this week who lives where we are currently camped. Have exchanged quite a few messages through CM's other side and he sounds reasonable. The van needs a good clean as I have been hobbling on a bad foot for the past few weeks till we could get to civilisation with enough time for Me to get it cortisone-injected and have a few days recovery time without needing to be on it. That finally happened last Thursday, and it's feeling much better, yay! So I will have a genuine task for him to perform to earn his "reward" of a play session. Sounds good to Me, hoping he will be fun to work with! All the best to all Maam Jay aka violet[A]

Heck ... now that I work, five blocks from the Joe Louis Arena, I thought it would be really nice to take an old friend of mine, my treat, to a legendary Hockey matchup .. The Montreal Canadians versus Detroit Red Wings! In December ... But She has disappeared ... and moved on. So what can I say ... except ... Wishing You well ... wherever You are ;-)

Love this weather. Hitting up the cider mills. Love cold cider and hot doughnuts. Attending OCC for Homeland Security. One class in Systems Support totaly sucks. The text book is full of command line errors. Trying to do lab work has been a nightmare. Set up a meeting with a CM'er who turned out to be a no show. No big thing. That happens a lot on here. Got most of the yard work done. The tomatoe plants have tons of tomatoes on them. To bad the frost is going to kill the plants. Painting the walls finally. 2 rooms done and 6 to go. For your reference. Bher one coat paint isnt.

ugh, 3 days in, and October already = epic fail. Last night, my best friend gets kicked out of his house by his mom, and then her boyfriend thinks its a good idea to call me and threaten me after I pick him up and bring him back to my house (he's a drunk, violent asshole hillbilly who's too dumb to remember Ive kicked his ass before). After calling the cops and filing yet another report on him, my buddy's dad decides to bring him to Detroit to be with him. At 4pm today, his girlfriend and I cried as his bus left the station. Add this into the fact that I fucked up big time on my psychology test, and Id say its been a bad weekend. Im actually looking forward to monday

It's October again... I'm on CM again after a couple years gone, which means I've been knocked back down to "vanilla" on the boards. (I hate seeing that little ice cream cone lying about Me every time I post. I'm going to melt it slowly with a hair dryer for irritating Me.) My girl is in the hospital. She's got horrid ovarian cysts causing her unbearable pain, a problem with her digestive tract, and all the weakness that results from these things has her seizures out of control again. In a couple weeks, we'll know if they need to operate to remove the cysts; we won't know until they get inside whether they'll just be taking the cysts or a chunk of her reproductive system. Candles and prayers are both needed and welcome. The end of this month will see a Samhain gathering of the Sisterhood. I love the fall; our ritual is going to be beautiful and heart-feeding. Magic abounds. Every time the ladies gather around the fire in My back yard, I feel like My soul-batteries have been recharged. I've been contemplating taking on a non-romantic/sexual house slave... Happy October, Ladies!

October sees me with a new nephew. 7lbs 8oz and 20.5 inches at birth. He's eating well, and gaining weight appropriately. And his big sister is coping about as well as can be expected, considering that for the last 3 years she's been queen of the castle LOL In other news - I was going to try and meet a boy while I was up there (he's local to my brother and sis-in-law in the Detroit area) and he quit talking to me ... blarg. Not that I'm particularly surprised when that happens at this point, but it still stinks. I missed Holly and rob (and the critters) horribly while I was gone - I'm glad to be home, although I wish I could still be up with my niece and nephew.
