Agreed that it can be harsh, but its typically the mixture that holds together some of the newer srubs can irritate my skin, and the scrubby bits dissolve as somebody uses it. pretty useless as far as i believe.

I like some of the LUSH products, not so much others. Trial and error, like anything!

Many Lush products have a sort of technique to them, but once you take the time to learn them, I think it's worth it. I've never been in a Lush store where the employees weren't super enthusiastic about making sure you know what you're buying, so be sure to ask plenty of questions and describe the type of problems you're looking to fix.

Oh, and their stores smell STRONG, so be warned. [:D]
