ORIGINAL: pahunkboy Cat food is crappy- no matter what the brand. most likely his cat has worms- as MOST cats DO have them. disect one... and see. ;-) If the cat was de-wormed as a kitten and does not go outside it will not get worms. Also, as crappy as commercial cat food may be if you were to just feed your kitty chicken and rice, eventually your kitty would develop all kinds of health issues including blindness. Catfood has an amino acid added in that they need. I was just wondering about these last few words on ensuring the correct diet for one's pet cat, are people as knowledgeable and rigorous in their own diets, do they ensure they eat the right things to ward off potential problems in their own lives, or is it a case of do what I say, not what I do. Pahunk is correct though, intestinal parasites can be picked up anywhere in the house as a house is not a sterile enviroment and can never be unless rigorous sterilising procedures are gone through every time one enters the house, themselves, their clothes and whatever they bring in, and the house itself is hermetically sealed from the outside world.
