And just when I thought I heard it all ... Feederism? Really?

From the Urban Dictionary (not the most reliable source ... but in this case, consistent with a video that I just saw about it), this definition:

An underground sexual fetish which involves one partner (the feeder) feeding the other, both to obtain sexual arousal and to encourage weight gain in the feedee. Feederism can vary in nature, from a consensual act between two people who mutually appreciate a larger body type, to non-consensual abuse, which may involve force-feeding and bondage and is undertaken with the intention of fattening up the feedee to the point of immobility and total dependence. The weight gained can also vary froma few pounds to hundreds, whilst some feeder relationships are not undertaken with the purpose of weight gain at all but for the enjoyment of food in an intimate context. Most feedees are female (BBW or SSBBW) whilst the feeders tend to be FA males, although this is not the case, and gay/lesbian feeder relationships are not entirely unheard of.

Although this definition doesn't explicitly link Feederism to BDSM, I understand the the feeder is a dominant and the feedee submissive.

I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to tolerance of fetishes, but if the purpose of this is really to make the other immobile and dependent, I have some concerns about this one as it can have very serious health consequences. But then again, is it any worse than some of the other more risky fetishes?

Can't figure out why this one rubs me the wrong way. Am I alone?

There is a cm member who's nic specifically mentions this. I don't know if this is as dangerous as some other fetishes. To each their own. The one that bothers me more is Doms deliberately starving their subs.

I'm not sure I see much of a difference between starving and overfeeding a submissive.

I try to tell myself that just about anything between two consenting adults is fine. I'm not sure why this one bothers me vs. other behaviors that can also be damaging.

Man! I saw a documentary about feeders back in the day. Without judging, to me it was gross. One of the guys in the documentary was filming his wifes last steps she would ever take because he had fed her up so fat she couldnt get out of bed any more. I guess they are free to do it, but it seems to blur the line between a harmless sexual preference, and a debilitating albeit complicit victimization.

Im gonna try an find the doco, it was crazy and I wanna share.

this kind of thing isnt just in BDSM - i know a couple, just married. he had major weight issues and had the op to reduce his eating capacity and she slowly but surely increased his capacity and when he thought about getting rid of the flab flaps she went into a major downer with him.

he's a good looking guy and i think she's insecure and wants to keep him fat in case he gets too yummy and walks.

I saw something about this some time ago.
I do recall them mentioning that there was some sort of a porn photo club for feeders and how they would exchange photos of the feedees.

I saw that film on tv. The feeders took pleasure on the feedees being utterly dependent on them, not being able to get out of bed. The feeders spent much of their time rubbing lotion on bedsores. In the extreme cases the circulatory system of the feedees were shutting down as they never moved except to eat more greasy food. It was all straight couples and the feeders were all male. I don't think I saw a gay or lesbian couple. Or a female feeder.
An ugly undercurrent seemed to be 'I love you when you're fat. If you lose even a tiny bit of weight I'll leave and then who will look after you.'
It's no way near as common as the 'I'll only love you when you're slim' thing which is is widespread in vanillaworld.

I'm a fan of supporting each other to be healthy. Because of that, I'm not a fan of over or under feeding a partner for one's own pleasure/amusement. Yes, we can say to each their own, but some things rub me wrong.

lally, that guy sounds a lot like my ex husband. Always encouraging me to eat and then criticizing as I gained weight. The result was the demise of my own self esteem and self worth, and his own strange way of getting an upper hand. He liked that I was unattractive to others (I also had to wear glasses instead of contacts, couldn't wear make up, and couldn't do other "appearance improvements").

Not saying this is the motive for owners who do this to their property in all cases. But I still do not support that activity as I believe it causes undue harm.

I've encountered people with this fetish. To be honest, it always did rub me the wrong way and set off my alarm bells. They never simply wanted a heavy girl. They wanted to keep making her bigger and bigger. There was never a "this is perfect - we can stop now" area. For me, this is one of those areas best left to fantasy and simulated but not actually done.

Personally, I am not for any fetish that may have long term effects to the human physical body, ie: feeding someone for intentional weight gaining, immobilizing them, etc. I think it is very dangerous playing with the human health and the consequences can be irreversible. This kinda rubs me the wrong way too but, like the OP, I also wonder if it is any worse than more risky fetishes?
