The handcuffs are on Lindsay Lohan as she begins her jail sentence for a probation violation. The actress surrendered at a Beverly Hills courthouse Tuesday morning, arriving about eight minutes late for the scheduled sentencing hearing. Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel remanded her into custody and ordered that no photographs or video be taken of Lohan being handcuffed.

Revel determined two weeks ago that the "Mean Girls" star violated her probation by missing seven alcohol education classes since December.

She has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and three months in rehab. However, she is likely to serve only 25 percent of the sentence because of overcrowding at the Los Angeles County's jail. Lohan could also receive good-time credit.

Lohan will serve her time at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, where Paris Hilton served 23 days for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case in 2007. Lohan has been on probation since August 2007 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor drug charges and no contest to three driving charges.

On May 26, 2007, Lohan was in a Mercedes-Benz that crashed into a hedge along Sunset Boulevard near the Beverly Hills Hotel, and two months later was arrested in Santa Monica on suspicion of driving under the influence.


That August, Lohan pleaded no contest to two counts each of drunken driving and being under the influence of cocaine, and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to one day in jail - but spent a total of 84 minutes at the Century Regional Detention Facility - and was placed on three years probation.

On another thread a poster noted that Glenn Beck had his losing his eyesight coming to him because of karma... Sanity took offense to that and made a lot of hay over it...

I am just pointing out another instance of his hypocrisy...


I can say that LiLo is a sick little girl who needed to hit bottom to get better, but I get no joy out of seeing it happen,.. none.

She is a talented young actress and I hope she can get her shit together because she has been enabled for a very long time and she seems like she is in a lot of pain

DUIs must stop.

They have been very casual with her.  If that was you or I- we would not have been afforded such light punishment.

Here is the thread in question. No where do i see Sanity taking exception or making anything over it. I corrected you on your misconception, and you bring the drama here.

Lohan is a spoiled brat who made her bed and, because of her own refusal to seek help since 2007, is now having to go to jail for 90 days for probation violations.

Its my opinion that if she hasnt sought the help she needs in that amount of time, then i agree with the courts that she needs to be forced to do so.

I will reiterate, she is an addict, she is sick, she probably needs to go to jail, but I do not feel happy about it. I wish there was another way to deal with her. I hope she gets better
