ORIGINAL: CatWalk DarlingSavage, Loved your links, very good core exercises. I much rather that type, yoga inspired exercise and strength training, combined with the aerobics of beledi(belly dance). I'm doing some tightening up of my own to enhance my new corset and those exercises will help a lot ;) CW Glad I could help! You'll be amazed at what core exercises will do for you in just 2 weeks! quote:
ORIGINAL: ranja Thanks for that info Darling, just what i need i hope it won't be a totally irresponsible decision on my part to make these exercises, pointed out by a random person from the internet, part of my daily routine in order to try and shape up a bit.... Des, what do you think? should i consult my GP first? That's what they always say, though I never have personally, but you're doctor can help, if you need him/her to. I just get in there and start doing it. After I've been not working out for a while, it's generally difficult to get started back, you feel like you don't want to or whatever, but it's SO worth it! After a couple work outs, you'll be so glad you jumped back in the game! Also, I LOVE next day soreness! When I'm sore the next day, I know it's cause I worked out and my muscles are getting toned and I'm gonna look great. I also love when I start seeing results. I always like to watch my HR on the machines that will show it cause that's another way to record progress. I love it when I start seeing that, hey, it's not as high as it used to be or hey, I have to really work my ass off to get it up to my target HR now! That is SO awesome. Another great thing to do is to challenge yourself by setting goals in the gym. It can be anything. For me, I've had kind of an unrealistic goal for years, but I know that it's unrealistic, so it doesn't matter so much, but I strive for it, anyway. I want to do a pull up. However, it's not really that easy for women to do. One of my aerobics teachers told me that. So., I strive for it, without expecting to every actually do it, but I get a hell of a workout trying to do it. The other thing I do is visualize the exercises I'm going to do, plan ahead what exercises am I going to do for arms or upper body, lower body, mid section. I split up my weight training into 3 sessions a week for those I just mentioned. Then on the other days of the week, I do aerobics with some core. Gotta split! Hope this helps, sorry for the "Wall of Text"!
