You know, I would think after that much time any woman would want a change of clothes. LOL They've tampered with classics before and then gone back...wouldn't surprise me if that happened here too.
As for sexing her up in the beginning...they did more than that. There were some major S&M themes in the beginning. Let's look at the magic lasso...if she catches a man with it he has to obey. If a man can take it from her and tie her up with it she became very submissive. I remember one cover where the villain had her over his knee and was spanking her...and she was smiling. No wonder boys liked her so much. :)
