"Play". I know to some people the term seems irreverent for something they regard as serious stuff. For me, "Playtime" is whatever I choose to do when I'm not working etc. If I go to the theatre or rock climbing, that's playtime too. "Play" doesn't mean that I don't take what I do seriously. For me, "Session" does have connotations of paid activity, that's how I see it used. "Scene-ing" just doesn't seem part of the vocabulary amongst people I've met in here the UK.
