I call it playtime, or funtime, but I would like something a little different, A couple of times I just said "it's time for you to get chained up and your ass slaped, you slut" but thats kind of wordy.

I think I might get in on  the  "Fucky, spanky, lick my balls and call me master" fad while it's still kind of new.

I was curious how others referred to bdsm playtime with another whether it be friend or significant other.  Words tend to carry different connotations.  Generally I will say "play".  Recently I had a friend ask what we would do in a "session" and how long would the "session" last.  To me, that carried with it the feeling of a pro-setting, which is not what was being discussed in anyway.  This is not affecting my choices regarding when and how I will interact with him, it just sparked my curiosity on how others referred to this "fun time" together.  : )  No right or wrong answers.

There are always wrong answers....So beautiful but so dumb.

I don't usually say much of anything. She just kind of gets the hint.

Hint = cock in ass.

I call it play if I am at a playspace/dungeon because calling it dungeoning sounds silly

Kana -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 8:29:12 AM)

I call it play because it's fun.

edited to add: at least it's fun for moi!

I call it living.
I hate parts of my intimate relationship referred to as play or a session.
Seems so superficial to me.

this exactly. it's just life.

Harakiri -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 12:45:29 PM)

I tend to use the term 'play' for what me and a partner/date might do in a club or fetish event, for example meaning 'do you want to go into that room with all the interesting looking bits of kit and string me up to one and beat me' or I might use the term 'play' if say, I met someone or a couple I would like to do kinky stuff with as in 'would you like to meet up to play sometime' however with a lover or partner, the stuff that happens in the bedroom regardless of how many toys, whips and handcuffs are involved, no matter how elaborate the scenario, that is sex (or less polite terms which are more fun to say during said act, grin)

I always used scene or fuck, never the word play.

SimplyMichael -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 1:13:42 PM)

Most of what this centers around is that old bs of what I do is deeply sacred what you do is mere play.

sexyred1 -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 1:15:34 PM)

For me it's not about being sacred vs. less sacred.

I just think it has to do with preferred semantics, no?

divi -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 1:26:31 PM)

sexyred1 -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 1:36:04 PM)

I call it "sex" or if there's no sex involved I regress to a high school mentality and call it "messing around" or "doing stuff."

cassandria -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 4:35:16 PM)

oh hells bells, I just follow the leader and do, do, do what the leader says..

IronBear -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 4:49:20 PM)

An alternative I use is "Conference with a slave" used in public situations.

cassandria -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 5:56:45 PM)

*grins* "Conference with a slave"... that's original

IronBear -> RE: What do you call playtime? (6/8/2010 6:05:59 PM)

Well it could be called more accurately "Staff Conference" because all persons collared either to me, my lady or Bruin Cottage are seen as staff as befitting a Victorian period establishment. never raises eyebrows with the non believers either.
