thanks so much for all the ideas. i actually did get an old box fan out of a closet and i think it helped a bit. also found out that the off fan says to use it within 2 weeks, so i am going to get one of those tomorrow, along with the off lanterns that have a candle and a strip of something that is heat activated. it has the lemon eucalyptus in it.

i love garlic too, so i will try to start eating more of it.

i was ready for the beer til ya said i cant drink it dang it!

You need a sonic repellent that imitates the sound of the male mosquito, which scares the females away, since only the females feed on you, the best weapon is the call of the insect sex god.

Now, now...PA has been a good boy lately...He just needs a man to make himself feel loved.

BTW, if you have a water feature in your yard, go and get some mirrows(?). They will eat the larve of the next genation.

Most types of fish will do that. Even bottom feeders like carp won't turn their noses up at mosquito larvae.
Covering the surface of the water with paraffin and then burning it off is a less ecologically sound solution.
