Just how bad are the conditions at this company?
Foxconn makes electronics, I-phones, I-pads, dell computers and there have been 11 suicides this year.

Status: offline 		China is weird.  They've also had some murderous attacks at schools this year as well.

Obviously, nothing legally.  But it could reflect upon the deceased's survivors.

Status: offline 		I wouldn't say weird. Desperate.  The government is desperate to keep the economy moving and the people are desperate to just get by, food to eat and a roof over their head.

Fresh water is going to be a major problem for China VERY soon.  Huge parts of the Yellow river are deemed unfit for industrial use.  Just how bad is it polluted that it is unfit for industrial use?  The Yellow river barely makes it to the ocean due to all the water taken from it upstream. 

Not a whole lot anyone can do without water.

Status: offline 		It's an interesting concept, but if the employee does kill themselves, what will the company do? Fire them? Seems kind of pointless.

People reaching the point of suicide is deep depression. I used to have a friend (yes, I eventually, for my own peace of mind had to end the friendship) who talked about suicide often. Each time I tried my best to talk her out of it, even explaining how each method that she was thinking of was not quite the "peaceful exit" she thought it would be. I made the mistake of telling her that she was choosing all the wrong drugs for her peaceful exit plan, but refused to tell her what the correct drugs were (yes I do know which ones would work best). She got very angry with me and said that if I were truly her friend, I would be supportive of her decision to off herself and give her constructive advice on how to do it properly. That was when I finally understood the term "toxic person."

But I have to admit, those Chinese do come up with some interesting job requirements....
