My parents have been all over the world to all inclusive resorts and they prefer Jamaica especially Swept Away resort is AWESOME -- its part of the Couples all-inclusive resorts and is located in one of the more nicer areas of the 7 mile beach, its next to Beaches. I have been there many times and my parents go there a couple times a year since it opened. I can't speak as to many other resorts but i love the people at Swept Away. Its a more toned down resort more for a honeymoon seclusion than for people who like to party all the time. They do have entertainment after dinner at The Palms (main dining room) usually nightly. They have the "old" part of Swept Away which were rooms that were situated "hut" style in different levels so to speak -- beach front, atrium and garden -- i would shy away from garden personally, the "old part" rooms to a building two up and two down but Swept Away also has now built on a "hotel" style area where the rooms are situated like in a hotel. I prefer the old style but many people don't because they don't have TVs in them. The grounds are beautiful and they have i think 5 restuarants - main dining room, a awesome i love it thai restuarant above it, Feathers which is a formal type, another informal dining room on the other side of the resort near the hotel type area, and a grill type restaurant. Its a nice quite resort that is not so big its overwelming. But as i said, its not really for partiers. It has a night club area but nothing substantial so to speak. However the catamaran cruise is a lot of fun. They don't have jet ski's but they do have water sking and sailing. I was just there in 09, and out of all the resorts i have stayed at -- its wonderful. Also, you can go right on the beach and you will quickly come to where the islanders sell their wears adn some of the local tourist type restaurants or bar type places. You take a left and walk down about a mile past Beaches -- and you can feed the fish in the rocky area. Security is good, they do request you let them know who you are when you walk past security at the ends of the resort so they can make sure that you come back lol. But they are "on it" but not intrusive. If you go at Christmas Time, they have a Christmas Eve entertainment in the atrium garden that is really lovely - they have a full fledged New Year's Eve Party also. My parents went to another one for two weeks last December before they went to Swept Away for their december trip actually right down the street from Swept Away- Sunset at the Palms i think it is . This is not actually on the 7 mile beach and you have to cross the street to get to the beach - that is blah for me lol. Also my mom said the food was not that great and its small. They won't go back to it but they said its not a BAD place, its just they prefer their resorts on the beach they have found. Also, they have also stayed at Couples- negril and its a very nice place and gets good reviews. However their baby is and i think always will be Swept Away - it suits them. This Couples is part of the resorts that Swept Away belongs too. HAVE FUN!!! angel
