It's a case of nine times lucky for Hollywood legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor, who appears to be preparing for yet another marriage.

Taylor - whose past husbands include Conrad Hilton jnr and actor Richard Burton - is reportedly set to marry her long-time companion Jason Winters, a Los Angeles-based talent agent.

At 49, Winters, who has Janet Jackson on his books, is 29 years younger than Taylor, who once described him "one of the most wonderful men I've ever known".

Well she cant take it with her when her time is up. Might as well give some to someone else.

Level -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 4:44:26 AM)

Sure, if there is genuine affection there.

Or does she have a prenup for him to sign?

DesFIP -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 4:57:31 AM)

Is she still mentally competent for a marriage agreement to be binding? Drastic changes to the will, etc.

pahunkboy -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 5:29:08 AM)

I did not know she was still alive.

sirsholly -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 5:37:57 AM)

wishing her happiness...

barelynangel -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 6:00:56 AM)

Umm Level, are you saying there can't be genuine affection if a pre-nup is in place or requested?

mnottertail -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 6:07:26 AM)

We are aware she got her some bad hips, hope her lips are in pretty good repair.

I thought she was dead, too. Apparently the rumors of her death and impending marriage have been greatly exaggerated.

Nope. I'm generally in favor of them.

i hate to appear cynical because i usually am not....but.....that article about elizabeth taylor denying the engagement rumors said that she is busy getting ready to put out her new perfume on mother's day.....hmmmmm

winterlight -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/12/2010 7:38:50 PM)

Dame Elizabeth is rebutting the rumors of an engagement. They are just friends.

I cannot imagine at her age wanting to go through another marriage and divorce. Whatever she decides on anything in life i hope she is happy.

I think she is a terrific actress and from what I have read a great friend to have.

choccywoc -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/13/2010 6:08:35 AM)

If it's true, it's a shame, i feel sorry for her, having said that, it's publicity, when you've spent your life in the glare of the lights, i suppose you will always crave the attention.

There can be plenty of love but it would appear that trust is at a premium.

DesFIP -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/13/2010 6:26:12 AM)

Not necessarily. Think of remarriages. Both have children by a previous relationships, grandchildren possibly. Your new spouse is situated comfortably on their own. Without a pre-nup the state mandates that the spouse receives two thirds of the estate. With a pre-nup you can say the spouse gets to stay in the house, has half the income and at their death, the estate goes to the existing family, not the family of whichever spouse died last.

pahunkboy -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/13/2010 7:32:42 AM)

I liked Larry Forinski.

Does anyone have his number?

Or do we know anyone that I might make a pass at like him?

All of that can be arranged over a handshake and scribbled on a cocktail napkin without a legal document... with someone you trust.

kittinSol -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/13/2010 4:17:09 PM)

Sorry, but am I supposed to give a fuck? She hasn't committed a crime. Why do we even talk about it?

slvemike4u -> RE: Elizabeth Taylor: ready for #9 (4/13/2010 4:20:06 PM)

Well she will forever be interesting to me...ever since that scene in "Cat on a hot tin roof" where she changed in front of an indifferent Paul Newman(playing Brick for the uneducated amongst us)...man all I could ever think was....what an actor.
