Well...have you ever received oral sex from a girl with a tongue ring? Every guy I am friends with (not a very empirical study, I know), does not find tongue rings to make oral sex any better at all. A girl's experience, talent with her mouth, and desire to give oral sex is what makes the difference.

Someone is well versed in this activity does not need a tongue ring. The risk of infection far outweighs any benefits. It is not something I would want or require of someone

I recommend you buy her dental insurance because she'll need it. Tongue rings cause enamel damage and can in fact kill the nerves in the teeth. Do you know how much a root canal can cost? Because you need to man up and pay out that thousand when she needs it.

Plastic barbells are easier on the teeth then metal however are much more easily bitten through or broken. I've had a tongue ring for years. Literally, eight of them. I'm eminently employable, I've never had a boss or coworker notice it unless (until) I stuck my tongue all the way out at them. My father is a dentist and guess what...all my teeth are intact, despite accidentally biting my tongue ring many times, and my tooth enamel is fine 15 years after getting my tongue pierced. Use anticeptic mouthwash after every meal, drink, cigarette, kiss, and before and after sex for the first two months. Abstain from oral sex for the first couple of weeks. I wouldn't do it, I was going to as a surprise for someone, but then when I got there I saw someone whos tongue swelled up about twice it's size, and then the person doing the piercing told me it takes about 6 weeks to heal, and I shouldn't have oral sex. I ran out like a scared little child....
